The following are the Islamic-Resistance operations that took place during the month of September in 1999

Islamic Resistance Performs 149 Operations in September 1999

This September, the resistance performed 259 operations against the "Israeli" enemy force and Lahd agents: "the Islamic Resistance" performed 149, "the Amal Movement" 92, "the Lebanese Brigades for Resisting the "Israeli" Occupation" 17, and "the Lebanese National Resistance Frontline" 1.

The Islamic-Resistance operations killed three "Israeli" soldiers and 7 Lahd militiamen. The operations also wounded 17 other Lahd militiamen, the enemy acknowledged.

The Islamic Resistance confirmed the same number of casualties, adding that 3 more "Israeli" soldiers and 2 more Lahd militiamen were wounded.
On the other hand, 3 Islamic-Resistance fighters were martyred.

Operation Zemrayyah, September 1, 1999

On September 1, 1999, the Islamic-Resistance fighters performed a double operation against Lahd militiamen positioned approximately 100 m to the south of Zemrayyah Crossing Point. The fighters first blasted a Mercedes vehicle, on which were 5 militiamen assigned to guard the crossing point. The blast set the vehicle afire and wounded the 5 militiamen.
Only after 15 minutes could 3 ambulances escorted by Lahd militants approach the casualties. Right then, the fighters bombed another explosive, resulting in more losses.

A Zionist high-ranking military delegation held a meeting at Marjeeyoun Barracks before moving to Hasbaya.

"The Northern Command", in coordination with "the Liaison Unit", formed an investigation committee to figure out the way the operation was performed. The Lahd militiamen failed to detect the explosives even though Lahd vehicles passed that route almost continuously.

The investigations as well involved the time the explosives were implanted (whether at night or in daylight, hours before the blasts).
Three Lahd militiamen died, and 4 others suffered injury, the enemy acknowledged.

Security sources said the deceased militiamen were: Naader Hassan ash-Shoufi (from Shwaya Town), Omar Taha (from Kfar Hamam Town), and Rafik Saeed Wahab (from Hasbaya Town). The last was the escort of Lahd security officer in Hasbaya, Fares el-Hamra.

Consequently, the occupation forces shut Zemrayyah Crossing Point. Besides, the Zionist command initiated procedures to avoid any more blasts at the crossing point and any potential casualties.

For its part, the so-called "Liaison Unit" held an important meeting to discuss this issue. The militiamen "serving" at the crossing point had become easy targets, so now they were too afraid of the Resistance's operations to "serve" there.

Resistance Artillery Bombards "Israeli" Settlements, September 2, 1999

Sticking to the promise of fulfilling jihad, defending the dear civilians, and revenging on the enemy (that barbarically massacred innocent civilians in Libbaya Town), the Islamic Resistance counterattacked the "Israeli" enemy.
On September 2, 1999, the Islamic Resistance launched Katyusha rockets against "Keryat Shemona Settlement", iterating it had the absolute right to defend its dear civilians. The Resistance would never stop resisting the occupation no matter how great the sacrifices were.

An "Israeli" military spokesman denied that "Keryat Shemona Settlement" was bombarded with Katyusha rockets; whereas an officer of "the International Forces" confirmed to a foreign news agency that over 20 rockets hit the north of occupied Palestine.

Earlier, Hizbullah had warned the settlers in the north of occupied Palestine they had better hide in shelters as Hizbullah was going to counterattack after "the Libbaya Massacre".
Sources reported Hizbullah began to launch Katyusha rockets and mortar shells against certain targets since 4:30 a.m. The Katyusha rockets were 25, added the sources.

Operation ar-Rihan-Ain el-Kbeereh, September 8, 1999

On September 8, 1999, the Islamic-Resistance fighters bombed a heavy explosive while a Zionist Merkava tank was on ar-Rihan-Ain el-Kbeereh Route. The tank was destroyed, and its crewmen suffered casualties.
Consequently, enemy reinforcements arrived in the operation zone to evacuate the casualties.

On the same day, the Islamic-Resistance fighters bombed an explosive while a Lahd-Zionist patrol was carrying out a search on Khallet Khazen-ar-Rihan Route. The patrollers suffered casualties.
"Two" militiamen were wounded, the Lahd acknowledged.

Operation al-Borj, September 11, 1999

On September 11, 1999, "the Islamic-Resistance Sniping Unit" shot a Lahd militiaman positioned on the rampart of al-Borj Site. The militiaman was instantly transported to "Marjeeyoun Hospital". The Lahd Militia acknowledged the militiaman was wounded.

Lebanese Brigades Attack Rchaf Site, September 14, 1999

On September 14, 1999, a group of "the Lebanese Brigades for Resisting the "Israeli" Occupation" attacked Rchaf Site. Opening the fire of their machineguns and launching their rocket shells, the fighters clashed with the site garrison for ten minutes, during which they caused serious damage to the site mounds.
In the meantime, 2 brigades of "Battalion 80" of "the Lebanese Brigades for Resisting the "Israeli" Occupation" attacked the Lahd sites of Hamayed and Haddatha. The site suffered serious losses.

Resistance Attacks ar-Rihan Barracks, September 17, 1999

Marking the martyrdom of Sayyeda az-Zahraa (Pbuh), the Islamic Resistance again struck the Zionist occupation forces. On September 127, 1999, a group fiercely attacked a Zionist motorcade of Zionist commanders at the entrance to the Zionist ar-Rihan Barracks. The fighters directly hit a common car and killed or wounded each of the officers on it.
Meanwhile, another group attacked ar-Rihan Barracks, too, demolishing the watch tower and several mounds.
Having all sides of the Lahd Sojod Site within their fire range, a third group attacked the site, resulting in serious damage.

A fourth group attacked Bir Kallab Site, demolishing a heavy machinegun emplacement.
As a Merkava tank moved from ar-Rihan to ‘the Red Square" in town so as to back up the motorcade under fire, a fifth Islamic-Resistance group attacked it. The tank was set afire.

Furthermore, a sixth group attacked the headquarters of "the 10th Battalion" at the Lahd ar-Rihan Barracks. The fighters demolished a machinegun emplacement and caused serious damage to other parts of the headquarters.
In the meantime, a group of "the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit" razed the Zionist ar-Rihan Barracks, setting it afire.

Another group of "the Fire Backup Unit" razed the emplacements at az-Zaffata and ar-Rihan. The emplacements'' fire was ceased. The group artillerists as well attacked "Israeli" reinforcements arriving at ar-Rihan Barracks, causing them serious losses.
"One" militiaman was wounded at ar-Rihan Barracks, acknowledged the Lahd Militia.

Operation Kfarhouna, September 21, 1999

On September 21, 1999, the Islamic-Resistance fighters bombed a heavy explosive at the rampart of Kfarhouna Site. The bombing resulted in several casualties among the site garrison.
The fighters confirmed as well that two Lahd militiamen combing the site surroundings were killed.

Another Resistance group fiercely attacked the mounds and fortifications of Kfarhouna Site, seriously damaging them.
"Two" Lahd militiamen, Fadi Fouad Abu Gheida and Khaled Samir al-Betidini, were killed, acknowledged the enemy.

Resistance Executes Lahd Agent Fawzi as-Sagheer, September 27, 1999

On September 27, 1999, the Islamic Resistance again overwhelmed the Lahd Militia by targeting a senior Lahd officer. A group of "the Islamic-Resistance Special Forces" lay in ambush on Beit Yahoun-Bint Jbeil Route. As the motorcade of Lahd officer Fawzi Abdul Karim as-Sagheer reached the ambush spot, the fighters bombed a heavy explosive. As-Sagheer's vehicle was demolished and set afire, and each of the Lahd militiamen on it died.

Instantly, another group opened fire on the other vehicles of the motorcade, moving between the vehicles and killing all surviving Lahd assistants and escorts.
In the meantime, the fighters used their machineguns and rocket shells to attack Braachit Site, preventing it from backing up the motorcade targeted.
Another group attacked Beit Yahoun Site that overlooked the confrontation zone. The fighters paralyzed the site garrison's movement.

Also another Islamic-Resistance group attacked Haddatha Site. For several hours, the militiamen's corpses remained in the battle field; whereas all fighters returned safely.

The enemy acknowledged Lahd officer as-Sagheer and his escort Jihad Qassem (from Yaroun Town) were killed. The enemy also said as-Sagheer's driver Ali Taha (from Bint Jbeil Town) was wounded.
Here below is a résumé on agent as-Saheer's life, which the Islamic Resistance offered:
-son of Abdul Karim Rasheed as-Sagheer; born in Bint Jbeil; civil-record number: 21

-As "Israel" invaded Lebanon in 1978, he began collaborating with the enemy. Yet, his collaboration was camouflaged at first as the "Israeli" intelligence made a faked arrest. His claimed "arrest" lasted for 3 months, during which he underwent military training sessions. Then he kept tormenting the civilians of the occupied towns until his execution by the Resistance.

-He was in charge of several "responsibilities" in his town, including the so-called "National Guards", "assents" for leaving or entering crossing points, military and security tasks, and Beit Yahoun Crossing Point.
-To the "Israeli" intelligence, agent as-Sagheer was one of the most important security agents, particularly in Bint Jbeil Town. He would regularly visit the Zionist entity, where he held meetings with enemy officers. Besides, he arranged for recruiting agents and spies for the enemy.

-Before his execution, as-Sagheer had always been the target of Islamic- Resistance operations. In 1987, he was seriously wounded and was, thus, treated in a hospital in occupied Palestine. Though he was handicapped, he did not repent. He applied safety measures while moving from place to another, instead.
-He took part in many terrorist acts, including "the 1980 Braachit Massacre" (along with Lahd officer Hussein Abdunnabi).

In 1985, he arrested tens of the civilians of his town, charged them with working for the Resistance, and detained them in "al-Khiyam Concentration Camp". Some of the detainees were detained over ten years.
He also levied "taxes" on parents in return for exempting their sons from "serving" the Lahd Militia.

The occupation forces now assigned agent Wissam Safi Mroweh (from Bint Jbeil Town) to hold charge of Beit Yahoun Crossing Point after as-Sagheer's execution.

Resistance Again Attacks ar-Rihan Barracks, September 27, 1999

Marking the birth of Sayyeda Fatima az-Zahraa (Pbuh), some Islamic Resistance fighters performed an operation on September 27, 1999. The fighters lay in ambush while a Zionist motorcade was heading to ar-Rihan Barracks. As the motorcade reached the barracks entrance, the fighters opened a great barrage of fire, hitting a common car, setting it afire, and killing all Zionists on it.
For now, another group of fighters attacked the Lahd ar-Rihan Barracks, demolishing the western mound. Troops at the barracks had tried to engage in the battle and reinforce the motorcade targeted. A vehicle was burned, and serious casualties were made.

Another group, too, attacked the Zionist ar-Rihan Barracks, bringing about destruction. Both barracks could be seen afire during the confrontations, which lasted over an hour and a half.

In the intervening time, some groups of Resistance artillerists bombarded the sites of Bir Kallab and Sojod and a cannon emplacement at az-Zaffata. The artillerists ceased their fire.
An "Israeli" soldier and 5 Lahd militiamen were wounded, acknowledged the enemy.

Resistance Fighters Attack Rchaf Site, September 29, 1999

On September 29, 1999, the Resistance fighters bombed a heavy explosive at the rampart of Rchaf Site, killing or injuring each of a group of Lahd militiamen. Some of them were seen falling off the rampart.
As another force tried to approach the place and evacuate the casualties, the fighters opened their fire, resulting in more casualties.
A Lahd militiaman was killed, and three others were injured, acknowledged Zionist and Lahd sources.
