Sheikh Qassem: We have the right to be strong & possess weapons in order to liberate our land

(...) This resistance is a right because it works on liberating the land and the land is ours. The resistance is a right because its aim is independence and freedom, and God created us free, not slaves to "Israel" or to America.
The resistance is a right because it is always in the defensive position it has not encroached upon anyone- while "Israel" is the trespasser

The resistance is right, because we have been brought up on the way of Imam Hussein (p), and we will continue the course no matter how long, with our heads held high by the resistance, our focus will remain set on facing the "Israeli" threat without getting sidetracked with holiday like fireworks

We are people who do not commit aggression on anyone, but exercise our right and our conviction.

I asked foreign journalists who conducted some interviews with us: How do you accept the existence of "Israel" and "Israel's" occupation when you claim you are with human rights and freedoms and dignity?
None of them had an answer, but their reply was "It is the international will"!
If the international will was unfair, and sided with falsehood, deviation and corruption, if international decisions were unjust and oppressive, trying to take our rights, land, dignity and the future of our generations unfairly, then these decisions are of no value to us.

What do these international resolutions mean if they are not just and fair?!
Because when they are not, we will listen to our minds, consciences and our rights. Terefore, this international will, does not work for what is just and right, but for their interests.

What did the U.S. Administration say when it invaded Afghanistan or Iraq?
It said it is doing it in the interests of the American citizen. In other words, it is of no importance if world is wiped out, provided the US citizen is prosperous.
What about the citizen of Palestinian, Lebanon, Iraq, and all the rest?!

I swear that if we do not stand up for our rights, no one will grant them to us. This American tyranny in the world cannot be treated by kneeling down, but through standing courageously.
What has international will done to return Palestine?
It has colluded against Palestine and the Palestinians. Palestine has been gradually chomped up until occupation covered it from sea to river.

If any other group in the world attempts, not to take a land like Palestine but only a tiny square meter of land, the whole world would be up in arms, armies of the world would be mobilized to return this square meter to its owners.

In "Israel's" case, they encouraged it on murder, destruction, committing atrocities and arrogance...such arrogance is what instilled a conviction within the Palestinians that their rights can only be obtained if they relied on themselves, by strengthening their resistance, and through putting their hopes in God's promise...the resistance is the solution and alternative.

The resistance today is no longer a passing event. It has turned into a culture, a vision and jihad. It has taken root to become a conscience, the resistance today is an uprising work in the face of defeatism and deviation, and otherwise, what have they done for us?

Here is Lebanon suffering from daily "Israeli" aggressions, yet can anyone hear objections?! All international objections are focused on Lebanon's resistance and its weapons, why?
They say because "Israel" is upset, annoyed and feels tense towards the presence of the resistance weapons in Lebanon?! Are we the ones who entered into Palestine, or is it the "Israelis" who occupied our country all the way to the capital Beirut?
Is our air force breaching the skies of the occupied territories or is "Israel's" air force breaching our skies?

They are transgressing on us, what do we do?
Do we not have the right to defend ourselves?
This resistance is a right, how do they prevent us from practicing it?!
Major world states are annoyed and opposed to the presence of weapons in Lebanon, is Lebanon not entitled to be strong?!

If Lebanon was not strong by its resistance, people and army, it would not be taken into account and given its due respect, "Israel" would have stepped on it time and time again, turning it into yet another "Israeli" occupation settlement, and politically subjected it to whichever direction it wants.

We have the right to be strong, to possess weapons and take the steps we need to strengthen ourselves to confront "Israel."
Today, no country escapes suffering from the arrogance of America and with it the European countries.

Why do they assail Iran's nuclear file when they know there are no nuclear bombs in Iran, it is simply because they do not want a strong Iran.
They say what is required is for Iran to prove its innocence, while the rule of law says 'one is innocent until proven guilty', this is while the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is accessing all of Iran's facilities!

Frankly, the problem with Iran is not nuclear weapons or anything else. It is because Iran declared itself neither pro-East nor pro-West, independent, Iran wants to make its presence strong by its people and its own abilities, while they do not want anyone in the world to say no to them, otherwise, why did they not wake up earlier when Iran's nuclear industry first started back in the time of the Shah, why leave it till now?!

Even if Iran suspended nuclear enrichment for peaceful purposes, they will search for another reason, because they do not want a strong Iran.

Rest assured, that he who learns from Imam Hussein (p) to be strong and courageous, to endure suffering while awaiting only God's rewards, will, God willing, be victor whatever the difficulties and losers are those who oppose what is right and just.
