The American University's Southern Cultural Club held its students' annual dinner at the Saha Heritage Restaurant on Airport Road. The celebration was attended by the students' dean at the University Dr. Maroun Kisserwani, the assistant-dean Dr. Talal Nizam Eddine, along with a delegation of teachers, a delegation of opposition party representatives, the university's clubs and a large gathering of students.

Moussawi wondered about the content of the UN Security Council Secretary-General report, and directed questions to him asking: "Where were you when South Lebanon was occupied? What did you do to implement Resolution 425 you yourselves issued on 19 March 1978, which remained unimplemented until we repelled the ‘Israeli' Occupation forces in year 2000?
Hearing him speak we ask:

What have you done to protect the civilians in Qana?
To punish the murderers of Qana?
To rid Lebanon's South of cluster bombs?
To return the northern half of Ghajar village still occupied till now?
To stop "Israeli" aerial breaches?
Or to stop "Israeli" espionage against Lebanon?
We know the answer to all that is complete impotence."

MP Moussawi stressed "The impotent before ‘Israeli' occupation has no right to give us lessons us on how to organize our capabilities to liberate the remainder of our occupied territories or to defend our land. We accept the impotence of the impotent, but that's as far as it goes, they cannot give us lectures on how to conduct ourselves. This is too much and unbearable."

Moussawi demanded for "No one is to ask us to behave like such and such a side or Arab country, because we are better suited to be our own model, since we are the ones who liberated parts of our previously occupied land. We do not need to emulate any other model, method or mean, and we will liberate the remainder of our land the way we did the rest."

He brought to memory the 2006 aggression when "The resistance was facing a political campaign carried out by the west and "Israel", against a backdrop of a complete silence by the UN SC Secretary-General, Arabs participants and certain internal political forces. In spite of all that, their campaign failed to destroy the resistance in Lebanon."

The MP addressed the Lebanese youth saying: "Do not fall victims to leaders who will abandon you when confrontation occurs. It is the Lebanese youth's concern today to read history well and to understand the resistance movement in Lebanon. This resistance has no religious or sectarian identity, nor does it have a project of imposing internal rule. Its sole project is to preserve Lebanon before ‘Israeli' aggressions and the Zionist project, which contributes to and aims at dividing the region according to ethnicities, sects and religions, so that wars erupt between them thus the usurper entity can live safely away from any attempts at returning the rights to their rightful owners."

This resistance is no different to any internal party in Lebanon except that certain parties leave or abdicate their national duties of liberating their national territory and defend their homeland against ‘Israeli' aggression."

Moussawi described the contents of the UN Secretary-General report as the effort of the impotent. It is not the first time it is written in a ‘school homework' format like the one a students take home with them from school, particularly the expression about ‘the forthcoming government having to add to its agenda of priorities the item of disarming Hizbullah!"

This is the "school problem" someone will have to do at home but won't succeed because it's the difficult "homework" the UN special professor failed to do in the past, and the question remains "when did you ( Mr. Samir Geagea, the leader of the Lebanese Forces) become a student of the UN university?!"

Nevertheless, you are claiming that you are belonging to the camp of the "Freedom, sovereignty and independence" slogan! If your excuse that you are having set priorities, we then ask you ‘if you are not in agreement with your national partners on these priorities, do you then continue on with them regardless?!"

He concluded: "Those who put the spot light on this paragraph in the report, want to harm national atmospheres of accord preceding preparatory climates in which a national unity government is to be formed, because that particular side only feeds on sedition and the stirring of internal strife."
