Loyalty to the Resistance bloc: Larsen´s report is both a scandal & a disaster
Bilal Zein, 29-10-2009
The Parliamentary Loyalty to the Resistance bloc held a regular meeting at noon today, presided over by MP Mohammad Raad, and in the presence of its members.
Discussions covered the outcome of recent meetings and contacts made regarding the formation of a national partnership government, and the increased pace in genuine efforts spent towards solving the government formation crisis, thus reflecting the ongoing developments, stands and various debates.
The bloc hoped the different approaches of the portfolios distribution would be characterized by realism and mutual positivism, in order to end this crisis that has gone on for more than four months now.
The bloc renewed its condemnation of the Zionist enemy's continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty and resolution 1701, whether by land, air or sea, through espionage networks or the planting of bugging devices inside Lebanese territory. The bloc renewed its categorical rejection of all pretexts the enemy hides behind only to continue its aggressions and violations, which have exceeded ten thousand and five hundred breaches from August 2006 until mid-October of 2009.
With regards to the debate which started in the Security Council on "Terje Roed Larsen's" last report, the bloc rejected the brazen bias shown by this unwelcome employee. Those meeting considered his report both a scandal and a disaster, in that it provides a cover for the real cause behind instability in Lebanon and the region, embodied in the continued occupation, assaults and Zionist breaches. This report also misleads the international community and implicates it in the composition of false images and impressions that encourage the "Israeli" occupiers to persist in their violations of international resolutions and in their assaults on Lebanon and its sovereignty.
On the other hand, the bloc expressed deep regret for Arab and international silence toward the-condemned by all standards-systematic Zionist assaults on the Aqsa Mosque and the continued demolition of Maqdisians' (Jerusalemites') homes, all of which aim at the displacement of the Maqdisians and the Judaisation of their city.
