Resistance Bloc Calls for Unity Government as Response to "Israeli" Threats

The Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc called Wednesday for the speedy formation of a national consensus government as a natural response to "Israel's" "deplorable" threats.
"The natural response to the :Israeli" deplorable and unaccepted threats is to continue to adhere to the choice of national partnership and expedite the formation of a government of national consensus," the bloc said in a statement following its weekly meeting.
It also called on the political leaderships "not to abandon the elements of strength that protect Lebanon's sovereignty, notably the trio of resistance-army-people."
"The political context that can guarantee real partnership in the anticipated government has already been reached and agreed on," the statement said.
The bloc underlined the need for "more positive deliberations on the distribution of cabinet portfolios and nominations." It urged political leaders "to avoid embarrassing the other and to turn away from fabricating illegal and unconstitutional standards."
