Loyalty to the Resistance bloc announces support for Berri as speaker

The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc announced on Monday that it will vote to re-elect Speaker Nabih Berri for the position of speaker in the next parliament.

In a statement issued after it met in the parliament building, the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc urged all Lebanese to respond to issues responsibly, to commit to the National Pact and to cooperate with all members of society.

The statement said all Lebanese should look out for the best interests of their country now that the 2009 parliamentary elections have passed.
