O Messenger of peace and mercy of God, Peace and blessings be upon you, deepest condolences to you for your child-Hussein (peace be upon him),
Abu Hassan (Imam Ali Bin Abu Taleb [pbuh]) God's peace, mercy and blessings upon you O Abu Hassan, leader of the faithful, deepest condolences to you for your child-Hussain (pbuh);

O Fatimah (pbuh), daughter of the prophet of the Lord of the universes, peace, mercy and blessings upon you, deepest condolences to you for your child-Hussain (pbuh);
Peace be upon Abu Muhammad al-Hassan (pbuh), God's mercy and blessings upon you, deepest condolences to you for your brother-Hussain (pbuh);

Peace be upon you O the Awaited for -Muntazar-on earth, God's mercy and blessings upon you, deepest condolences to you for your grandfather-Hussain (pbuh);

And Peace be upon the souls of the faithful believers, those living and those who have passed away, God's mercy and blessings upon you, deepest condolences to you all for your guardian Abi Abdullah al-Hussain (pbuh).

And you of dear honest and loyal faithful, peace and God's mercy and blessings be upon you, deepest condolences to you all for your leader Abi Abdullah al-Hussain (pbuh).

On the tenth of the Hijri month of Muharram we extend our condolences to whom it is owed, the Awaited-for on the earth of this world, the grandson of Hussain (pbuh), may God hasten his noble reappearance, condolences to all our religious authorities and jurisprudence clerics, especially Ayatollah Imam Ali Khamenei (may he live long) as well as all Muslims and believers, men and women on the martyrdom day of the grandson of the Prophet God.

On a day like today, Hussain (pbuh) delineated the path of Jihad for our nation and for the generations past and future, until Judgment Day, the shortest pathway to martyrdom that leads to God Almighty.

His words and those of his companions continue to reverberate in the ears, hearts and minds, consolidating the pristine Mohammedan Islamic school, from the famous words of the youthful Ali al-Akbar, when he said "Are we not on the right path? Hence we are not concerned whether we seek death or death seeks us"; also when Imam Hussain (pbuh) knew his martyrdom was near, and offered his companions to 'take the darkness of night as an escape, to avoid a similar fate to his next morning, yet they refused saying "To remain after your departure O Hussain, is a life deprived of goodness", then each one of his companions said "How I wish to be killed, then burnt, then cast away in the wind, to be reborn, killed, burnt and again cast in the wind... May this happen to me a thousand times, I would never leave you, O Hussain."

Then that great lady (Sayyedah Zainab [pbuh]) who lost her brothers, sisters, loved ones, her children and nephews, all in only a few hours, with a heart settled in patience and acceptance of God's will, she sat next to the dismembered body of her leader and brother (Hussain [pbuh]), and looked to the sky pleading to the Lord to "Please accept this offering."

She mentions the 'lord of martyrs' and his eternal words, "By God I do not give in to you nor recognize you as a slave would, I don't see in death save contentment, and in life among tyrants save dissatisfaction. Verily, that claimer, the son of a claimer, [pointing to ‘Ubaidullah Bin Zyiad] is overwhelmed by shame and disgrace!
He has placed us between two choices, to either fight in a disproportionate confrontation or a humiliating and degrading surrender... and very distant is disgrace from us!
Allah refuses us the life of disgrace, His Messenger and believers do too, indeed, proud, exalted and lofty spirits will never prefer to obey the vile people, rather than the death of the honorable ones."

These words are from Karabala, from the leader, the dignified and solemn woman, from the young and old men, and friends; it is our pristine Islamic school to which we belong with our minds, culture, awareness, consciousness, commitment, jihad, and love for martyrdom.

All this killing that took place on Ashura, the discourse of which you heard this morning, was because Hussain (pbuh) refused to give legitimacy to a tyrant Sultan, a murderer who spilled blood and disregarded God's law, who refused to observe God's faith, or care for the concerns of the nation of Mohammad and his infallible household (pbut).

All that was required of Hussain (pbuh) in his important position in the nation was to give legitimacy to this Sultan, through a pledge of allegiance with only a few words, but Hussain (pbuh) refused to do so and accepted martyrdom rather than be partner to crime and tyranny.

Because he knew his blessed and purified blood and that of his household will dethrone the tyrant and set the ground for successive revolutions that will disallow the tyrants of Umayyad dynasty, to establish their proprietorship in place of Muhammad's faith and nation.

This is in fact what later happened.

In Hussain's name, revolutions quickly erupted in more than a region of the Islamic world, right through to the Abbasid revolution.

Apart from its real motives, the Abbasid revolution carried the name, slogan, and the blood of Hussain (pbuh), and the mourning-black for the martyred Imam, and toppled a king whose entourage never believed could be removed.

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today, faced with a Zionist entity that is founded on the usurpation of land, violation of sanctities, bloodshed and killing of children, disembowelment of pregnant women and committing massacres, the least duty we all owe is not to give legitimacy to this entity nor recognize it, whatever the consequences, results and sacrifices.

Protectors of this murderous entity throughout the world want our nation, people and government recognize and give legitimacy to "Israel", even by force of firepower, but the absolute majority in our nation still refuses and continues to refuse such a dictate.

The war waged against our people in Gaza today, stresses the brutality, savage aggression and racism of "Israel", which must act as strong and additional impetus to refuse to recognize this entity.

Dear brothers and sisters,

The simplest and clearest duties rulers and people have at this stage is to break off relations and stop all forms of normalization with "Israel", in addition to giving a realistic description of what massacres it has committed in Gaza today.

Yesterday, Chavez the Venezuelan leader expelled the "Israeli" ambassador in solidarity with the Palestinian people, when Venezuela is in the US' vicinity.

Chavez has done that out of his great sense of humanity and his revolutionary spirit, as a slap in the face of all those who host "Israel's" ambassadors in their capitals, who do not even dare think about the expulsion of ambassadors.

Today, it is required that some Arab rulers learn about solidarity with the people of Palestine from a leader in Latin America.

Dear brothers and sisters,

This criminal entity must be punished for its crimes, rather than be rewarded and provided with benefits and gifts in exchange for the massacre of children, women and the people of Gaza.

I assure you that the people of our nation will punish this entity and its leaders for its crimes. Our rulers already show tolerance for "Israel", but our people can not tolerate it.

The responsibility of Arab governments today is to stand by the people and the resistance of Palestine, instead of playing as intermediaries between them and the occupation. They are to help the resistance achieve its goal of stopping the aggression and lifting the siege, instead of pressuring the resistance to accept "Israel's" humiliating conditions.

I also ask that Egyptian official, 'does the Egyptian regime need more than 650 martyrs and 2500 injured, to open the Rafah crossing once and for all, to help the people of Gaza in their steadfastness and victory?'

We ask you the same question you ask the Security Council.

All we require is that you open the Rafah crossing and not a front in the war.
Some of the brothers told me yesterday that a group of Egyptian-regime-supporter- lawyers, sued me personally at the International Criminal Court, because of the speech I made on the first Ashura night, when I called on the Egyptian leadership to 'open the Rafah Crossing, and on Egypt's proud and defiant people, along with its brave army, to make sure their government does so.'

My call was unjustly considered a call for a coup, when it was a modest call to open a crossing.

But, but in any case, I am proud of this lawsuit, particularly from those whose feelings were not shaken by all the "Israeli" massacres in Lebanon, in Qana, in Jabaliya , in Palestine, not even by the massacres the Zionists committed against the Egyptian POWs.

I take pride in a lawsuit raised against me, when it is raised because of a position of solidarity I took alongside the oppressed, persecuted and killed Gazans... I am honoured by it in this world and in the hereafter when I am in the hands of God Almighty.

And I would like to tell you frankly, we did not quarrel with or take an opposing stand against Arabs who were complicit against us, who accused us, hurt us and participated in shedding our blood during the July 2006 war, but we will quarrel and oppose with accomplices against the Gaza Strip, its people and its resistance, and against anyone involved in shedding their blood, and closing doors in its way to life and salvation.

Dear brothers and sisters,

What we heard from Zionist Bolton of the US Administration the other day, who plays tunes of despair and frustration, makes clear the real American-Zionist goal, of liquidating the Palestinian cause, through a final step of complete separation between Gaza Strip and the West Bank, this along with talk of the end of the 'two State solution' concept through consolidating the State of "Israel".

In other words, that means to hand the Gaza Strip over to Egypt and parts of the West Bank, the Zionists kindly allowing, to be attached to Jordan.

I tell you, this is the real American Zionist project.

All previous talk of two states is a mirage, fraud and deception; because whenever they come to give any diagnosis to a Palestinian state, they do not give the Palestinians land upon which a viable Palestinian State may be established, only to come back later to say that since two states cannot be established, the only remaining solution is to liquidate and terminate the Palestinian cause.

First and foremost, this necessitates a renewed call for national Palestinian unity of all Palestinian factions, Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and all factions, because the entirety of their cause today is being targeted for liquidation, or work for its liquidation is underway, and God willing they will not be able to liquidate Hamas government, the government of Fatah, or the resistance of any faction.

Yet this requires a renewed call for all possible forms of support for the resistance and steadfastness in the Gaza Strip.

Dear brothers and sisters,

So far, the July 2006 war experience and that of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza Strip have shown miraculous steadfastness by the resistance, therefore these two experiences have, as they should, resolve all discussion of a defensive strategy.

This mighty "Israeli" army, one of the most powerful in the world, with the strongest Air Force regionally, failed to achieve its goals against a modestly armed resistance that possesses great faith and will, in narrow locations under siege.

This confirms the choice of popular armed resistance, based on faith, determination and popular embrace is the stronger and superior option when confronting the greatest armies of the world, should they choose to occupy our land and country.
This increases our insight, improves the clarity of our vision upon our path.

Consider this, even the Security Council, international resolutions and the international community cannot protect the Palestinian people in Gaza, they are unable to condemn the massacre committed at a school that belongs to a United Nations body.

Just as they failed to condemn the Qana massacre in the past, in which more than a hundred martyrs perished in the United Nations headquarters; and yet again they were unable to condemn the second Qana massacre.

How can a Security Council, which fails to condemn massacres committed by the Zionists against women and children, protect people?

How can it do a cause justice?

Dear brothers and sisters,

What is happening today concerns us all.

I know that the eyes are gazed upon you in Lebanon and the eyes of the region too, for we are all at a historic and sensitive phase.

I say to you that we do not yet know the size of the plot, its dimensions and the bulk of the existing collusion.

We must act on the basis that all possibilities are open, we must all be aware, vigilant, and watch the situation carefully with readiness for any emergency.

Yesterday, Olmert was also quoted to have told the French president: "Hamas today, tomorrow Hizbullah."

I, in turn, say to this failure disillusioning Olmert who was defeated in Lebanon: 'You will not be able to eliminate Hamas nor will you eliminate Hizbullah.'

For days and weeks now, before and after the aggression on Gaza, we have been hearing threats, one side promises to destroy us in days and another in hours!
One makes threats above the table and another under it!

To them I say we cannot weaken, be afraid or give up.

Your planes and your threats will not frighten us, we are ready for all options and prepared for any aggression, I will repeat what I have said before, should you decide to come to our land and villages, to our towns, neighbourhoods and into our homes, I will say it using a simple but transient comment, the Zionists will discover that the July 2006 war was a picnic compared to what we have install for them in any new aggression.

We will not abandon the field, nor drop our weapons, our resistance will continue as a title to our history, sacrifices and for the blood of our martyrs.

Yet when some people talk here about possibilities, many people rush to provide the Zionists with free reassurances, whilst they slaughter our people in Gaza and threaten them in Lebanon.

Dear brothers and sisters,

On the Tenth Day of Muharram, faced with all these challenges, we need the spirit of Al-Hussein, with his clear-sightedness, wisdom, his consent which is of God's consent, his accepting patience of God's will, his persistence, steadfastness, Jihad and love for martyrdom.

And also, as we have all been over the past decades, with Hussein in every field, ever ready to offer ourselves and our souls, just as our brethren and leaders offered themselves as martyrs, we are ready to give our sons and loved ones as martyrs for what we believe in, in defense of a life that is dear, honorable and dignified.

Years of our experience prove the rightness of our logic and path, and the credibility of our options, the resulting experience can therefore be added to our belonging, the current reality to the conscience.

We then say that a people, generations, women and men resounding every day their known slogan, cannot be defeated, cannot be frightened with any threats, so long as their voices respond to the call: 'At your service, O Hussain.'

"Israel" is our enemy and the enemy of our nation, it will remain so even if some may reconcile with it, America also, the maker and protector of "Israel", it too will remain an enemy, even if some reconcile with it.

Today we conclude our this stand, and I thank you again for the large loyal attendance, the faithful and mujahed, to make our enemy hear our voice, to know that we are the nation that we will remain the nation, which, if placed between two choices, to either fight in a disproportionate confrontation or a humiliating and degrading surrender, its logic, mind, conduct, stand and slogan is 'how far disgrace is from us!

Sayyed Nasrallah reminded at the beginning of his speech of the main phases of the Karabala battle and the position of Imam Hussein and his household, companions and his sister Sayyida Zeinab who preferred to die than to give legitimacy to Yazid, a "criminal who distanced himself from the teachings of Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him."

Sayyed Nasrallah lashed out at some Arab leaders who are still having normal ties with "Israel" at a time more than 680 people killed in Gaza and advised them to follow the path of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez who expelled the "Israeli" Ambassador in protest at the "Israeli" aggression on Gaza.

"In front of the Zionist entity that is based on spilling the blood of the innocent and committing massacres, the least thing to do is not to give legitimacy to this entity regardless of the sacrifices. The guardians of the Zionist entity want us to give "Israel" legitimacy, but the vast majority rejects this. What is taking place today in Gaza, should be a strong motive to reject giving legitimacy to this entity. Not acknowledging "Israel", rejecting normalization with it is the least than can be done.

Yesterday Chavez expelled the "Israeli" Ambassador and he set an example for all those who are still receiving "Israeli" Ambassadors. Some Arab leaders are requested to learn how to reject normalization with this entity. I assure you that the peoples of our nation will punish those leaders for their crimes. They ought to help the resistance instead of pressuring it."
His eminence criticized the Egyptian regime for keeping the Rafah crossing closed in the face of the dying people of Gaza.

"Yesterday, an Egyptian official asked: does the UN need 600 martyrs and 1500 injured people to take action? Today I ask him, do you need that much victims to open the Rafah crossing?"
Sayyed Nasrallah also commented on the action taken by some Egyptian lawyers against him personally. "A group of Egyptian lawyers close to the governing regime filed a suit against me personally at the International Criminal Court because of my speech nine days ago, when I called for the opening of the Rafah crossing. They considered my call as a call for a coup d'état.

I consider this suit, especially in front of those whose consciousness have not yet awaken to the gravity of the massacres, a medal of honor that I will be proud with even after I die. I openly say that we have never antagonized anyone and we will not antagonize those who colluded on us. However we will antagonize those who collude on Gaza."

The Hizbullah chief addressed the "real US scheme" that was reflected by former US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton. "What we heard yesterday from Bolton clearly indicates the real aim of the US and "Israel" is to end the Palestinian cause by concretizing the state of "Israel", giving Gaza to Egypt and giving the rest to Jordan."

His eminence added that "this necessitates a renewal to our call for all Palestinian factions to unite because the aim is to liquidate their cause, all of their cause, not just Hamas or Fatah."
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed the "Israeli" war on Lebanon in 2006 and what is currently happening in Gaza and the steadfastness there, "should put an end to any dispute on the question of a defensive strategy.

This mighty army stands helpless and incapable of fulfilling its goals in front of a resistance with modest capabilities yet with a great will and this confirms that the choice of armed resistance based on faith and determination is the best and most effective way to confront the most tyrannical armies in this world. This makes thing crystal clear for us and further illustrates our viewpoint. Even the international community is incapable of condemning a massacre in a UN institution in Gaza just like it failed to condemn the "Israeli" massacre in a UN base in Qana in 1996.

If this is the case, how will this international community be fair to any cause?"
His eminence told the angry participants that "the world is looking at you in Lebanon. We do not know how big is the scheme neither do we know the magnitude of collusion, therefore we have take all probabilities into consideration."

The leader of the resistance warned "Israeli" Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that he will not succeed in crushing the resistance in Lebanon or in Palestine. "Olmert told Sarkozy: today Hamas and tomorrow Hizbullah. I tell the defeated and failing Olmert that you will not succeed in crushing Hamas in Gaza or Hizbullah in Lebanon.

We have been hearing threats recently but they do not frighten us and we are prepared for any aggression. If they came to our towns and homes, the Zionist will discover that their war in July 2006 was a picnic compared to we have prepared for them."

Sayyed Nasrallah vowed the resistance will not abandon its arms and will not leave the battlefield. "Our resistance will remain a title for our history and our sacrifices. I was hoping that the voices that emerged recently in Lebanon to reassure "Israel" about the border with Lebanon would have responded to "Israel's" threats to the resistance and Hizbullah. What drives to rush and give free assurances to "Israel" at a time this entity is killing-massacre our people in Gaza?"

His eminence concluded his speech saying: "On the tenth day of Muharram, and looking at all these sacrifices, we are in dire need for the spirit, wisdom, love of martyrdom and patience of Imam Hussein peace be upon him. Throughout the past decades, we have been with Imam Hussein at every stage and ready to sacrifice ourselves for what we believe in.

After all these years and experiences that proved that our sincerity, path and convictions are right, our people, generation after generation, will not be overcome and will not fear any threat as long as their slogan remains: At your service Imam Hussein. "Israel" is our enemy and the enemy of our nation. It will remain as such even if some make peace with it.

The US administration fosters "Israel" and protects it, so this administration will remain our enemy and the enemy of our nation if some make peace with it."
