Resistance bloc praised Suleiman΄s efforts to improve Lebanon΄s role on Arab, European and international levels

The Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc praised Lebanese President Michel Suleiman's efforts to improve Lebanon's role on the Arab, European and international level, to ensure civil peace and coexistence and to strengthen the state's capability to liberate occupied territories and confront "Israeli" threats.

In a statement it released on Friday, the bloc said that some parties' speeches were creating tensions in the streets and called on everyone to commit to Doha Agreement's recommendations and the spirit of reconciliation.

The bloc urged all Lebanese, regardless of their political affiliations, to stand side by side with the Lebanese president in his national policy based on national consensus, Doha agreement and presidential oath principles. It called on the balanced forces in the country to commit to the calming policy and stick to the reconciliation spirit.

The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc also expressed pride about the head of the Change and Reform parliamentary bloc MP Michel Aoun's courage, honesty and efforts to forge relations with Syria on the basis of frankness concerning the mistakes of the past in order to enhance the present and build the future.

The bloc, meanwhile, denounced the connivance against Gaza and its people. It stressed on the necessity to break the siege, not only for humanitarian reasons, but also for security and national ones. It called upon the Arab world to express solidarity with the Palestinians in order to put an end to the "catastrophic tragedy," warning that its repercussions would harm the whole region.

The parliamentary bloc concluded its statement by appealing all Palestinian forces to unite over the serious need to obstruct the Zionist settling scheme and systematically face its aggressive procedures with a national tenacious breath reflecting the senses of the Palestinian Resistant people.
