Sheikh Qassem: 33-Day War Last Nail in "Israel΄s" Coffin

TEHRAN--Deputy Secretary-general of Hizbullah has said that the victory of the Lebanese resistance movement in July 2006 war against the occupying "Israeli" forces have established a new strategy in the Middle East.
Sheikh Naim Qassem delivered a speech via Al-Alam to demonstrators, who gathered in Tehran's Palestine Square to hold the second anniversary of Hizbullah's victory in 33-day war.
He termed the July 2006 victory as a "turning point" through which the resistance movement inflicted a heavy loss on the "Israeli" regime and foiled Western plots in the region.
The senior Hizbullah leader said that defeat of "Israel" in Lebanon was "the last nail in the coffin of the occupation regime of "Israel"", adding that "Israel" has never shown respect to human rights.
Praising the Iranian nation as an "undefeatable people," Qassem said: "That the progressive nation has given lessons of revolution and freedom to the world people."
Hizbullah official asked: "Why Iran's absolute right to have access to peaceful nuclear technology is denied by the West, while the occupying "Israeli" regime possesses nuclear weapons?"
He stressed: "The United States will never be able to bring resistant Iranian people to their knees and will not succeed to implement its new Middle East scheme."
