"Israeli" army radio reported on Monday that the Regional Construction and Planning Committee in al-Quds decided to delay the construction of 1500 additional settlement units in the Ramat Shlomo illegal settlement for three weeks.
The decision to construct these units was made several years ago, but "Israel" shelved it during the visit of US Vice President, Joe Biden, to the region in March of 2010.

Senior "Israeli" officials told the Army Radio that the Ministry of Interior was instructed by the office of Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to delay the project due to its "politically sensitive nature".

On the other hand, "Israeli" Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's announcement last week stated that there was no change in policy on settlement building in the area, "Israeli" Army Radio reported on Monday.
For his part, Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon stated there are no plans for a freeze on settlement construction.

"We have proven in the past that stopping building does not result in peace and we will continue to build," he added.
One of the most dangerous "Israeli" settlement plans is the so-called E1 (East 1) project, referring to the area of northeast of occupied al-Quds.

The project is meant to complete the chain of settlement around occupied al-Quds, blocking the geographical contiguity of the occupied West Bank, including occupied al-Quds.
