"Israel" Requests UN Forces to Remain in Golan Heights

Officers in the "Israeli" Army had requested UN peacekeeping forces in the Golan Heights not to withdraw from the region.
According to the "Israeli" Channel 10, Japan withdrew its brigade from the Golan Heights while Croatia withdrew half of its brigade there.
The Channel further highlighted that the "Israeli" Army fears that al-Qaeda militants will embed in case no forces are in Golan, underscoring that al-Qaeda closing in on Golan will facilitate breaching into Palestinian territories and will therefore endanger settlements.
