"Israeli" War on Hizbullah in Europe: Maarev
Local Editor
"Israel" exerts concentrated efforts to list Hizbullah in the European list of terrorist organisations, Lebanese as-Saffir daily cited from "Israeli" Maarev as saying.
Maarev had clarified that the "Israeli" government had gone to lengths to add Hizbullah to the European list of terrorist organisations, in an attempt to isolate, siege, and weaken Hizbullah in light of the recent Syrian crisis and fragile Lebanese situation.
The US, Canada, and the UK all supported this demand, while France strongly opposed it, in fear of alleged repercussions.
The European Union in Luxembourg also showed strict opposition to this call, in fear that Hizbullah might appeal against the plea to the EU Court of Justice in Luxembourg and provide evidence acquitting it.
France, on a similar note, argued that there is no evidence whatsoever that could possibly categorise Hizbullah as a terrorist organisation.
It is noteworthy to mention that "Israel" has been attempting to list Hizbullah as an alleged terrorist organisation since 2005, yet France obstructed such attempts since then.
