The following are the Islamic-Resistance operations that took place during the month of January in 1995..

Islamic-Resistance Performs Fifty-Seven Operations in January, 1995

The resistance men have intensified their operations against the Zionist enemy and its agents, whereby the fighters performed 73 operations in January, 57 among which were performed by the Islamic Resistance. The other Lebanese and Palestinian resistance squadrons performed the other 16 operations.
In fact, one of the significant Islamic-Resistance operations included a violent confrontation with "Israeli" soldiers attempting to progress through Yater.

Upon the statement of enemy sources, the resistance operations resulted in the death of 2 "Israeli" soldiers and the injury of 7 others, also the death of 1 militiaman and the injury of 4 others; whereas the resistance announced that 7 "Israeli" soldiers were killed and 13 others were wounded, also that 3 militiamen got killed and 7 others got wounded.


Islamic Resistance Attacks al-Ahmadieh Site, January 5, 1995

The Islamic Resistance has sustained its operations in reaction to the barbaric Zionist shelling against the residential villages, whereby the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit opened fire on Bir Kallab Site, directly damaging the site mounds and fortifications.

An Islamic-Resistance operation struck al-Ahmadieh Site and Zemrayyah Site. Here below is the corresponding Islamic-Resistance statement:
"Commemorating the birth of the Martyrs' Master Imam al-Hussein (Pbuh), the Islamic-Resistance fighters attacked against al-Ahmadieh Site and Zemrayyah Site, in addition to Zemrayyah Crossing Point in "the East Sector".
On Thursday, January 5, 1995, at 6:55 a.m., the fighters' barrage struck these places. Perfectly holding control over the operation field, particularly at Zemrayyah Site and Zemrayyah Crossing Point, the fighters demolished a number of their mounds and fortifications and killed or wounded each of their garrison soldiers."

The statement has added, "Meanwhile, the fighters also attacked al-Ahmadieh Site, some mounds of which were demolished. Some garrison soldiers were killed or injured, too.
Moreover, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit struck Abu Qamha Site and Ain Konia Site. The fighters caused them severe casualties.
Also after the Zionists had shelled the villages by the occupied region, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit struck the fire sources at the sites of Yarine, Blat, and Hameed at 3:00 p.m. The fighters directly ceased these sites' fire sources."


Islamic Resistance Attacks Sites of Kfarhouna, Toumet Niha, and ar-Rihan, January 7, 1995

Commemorating the birth of Imam Zein ul-Abideen Ali Bin Hussein (Pbuh), also marking "the Day of the Wounded"*, some Islamic-Resistance groups struck the Zionist-Lahd sites of Toumet Niha, Kfarhouna, and ar-Rihan on Saturday, January 7, 1995, at 6:15 a.m.
As they shelled the sites, the fighters demolished several mounds and fortifications and caused a number of casualties among the site members.

Likewise, the fighters performed a series of daring operations against several Zionist-Lahd sites, and they blasted an enemy patrol that was en route to Ramieh. The Islamic Resistance has issued this statement:
"Marking the blessed Hijri Month of Shaaban, the month of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him and his Household), also commemorating the birth of the Awaited Savior Imam al-Mahdi (May God hasten his noble reappearance), the Islamic Resistance is continuing its operation series against the Zionist occupation sites in the occupied region."


Islamic Resistance Attacks Ten Zionist-Lahd Sites in Jezzine, Nabatiyeh, and West Beqaa, January 9, 1995

The Islamic Resistance has proceeded with its heroic operations, targeting ten Zionist-Lahd centers in Jezzine, Nabatiyeh, and West Beqaa. Also, the fighters struck Jezzine Barracks, where the enemy's Twentieth Battalion was headquartered.

The Islamic Resistance has issued the following statement to explain the details of the daring operations:
"The Islamic Resistance has performed a series of unique, daring jihad operations, striking the soldiers, vehicles, and fortifications of the Zionist enemy in the occupied region, a few meters away from the borders with occupied Palestine.

On Monday, January 9, 1995, at 11:45 p.m., the Brigade of the Martyred Commander Abu Hassan Bjeiji struck ten Zionist-Lahd centers in Jezzine, Nabatiyeh, and West Beqaa.
Likewise, martyr Faraj Ballouk's group struck the Twentieth Battalion headquartered in Jezzine Barracks. As a result, the three-building barracks was damaged and set afire. An M-113 half-track and a T-54 tank were demolished, too.
In the meantime, another group was attacking Jezzine Crossing Point, destroying some of its fortifications and mounds. Still, martyr Saeed Melhem's group was striking Kroom al-Arz Site, resulting in the death or injury of several garrison members."

The statement has added: "As reinforcements reached Kroom al-Arz Site to evacuate the dead and wounded soldiers, martyr Nassar Nassar's group bombed two explosive bombs, burning another M-113 half-track and killing or wounding each of its crewmen. Therefore, a state of fear and horror masked the wounded garrison members, who could be seen running away towards Jezzine.
Meanwhile, martyr Muhammad Salman's group was bombarding the Twentieth Battalion's Operation Chamber, wiretapping system, and cannonade emplacements so as to confuse the enemy and prevent it from offering any kind of help to the sites under fire.

As for the night operation series, martyr Hassan Hashem's group set a Reo truck at Toumet Niha Site afire and destroyed several site mounds and fortifications; whereas martyr Ali Marji's group razed Kfarhouna Site with their barrage.
Furthermore, the group of Marjeeyoun's martyrs attacked the sites of Bir Kallab, Sojod, as-Suweidaa, and at-Tohra in "the Middle Sector". Fierce combats went on, whereby the fighters caused more casualties to the enemy.

In order to prevent the enemy sites in ar-Rihan, Ebel el-Saki, and az-Zaffata from backing the targeted sites, the Fire Backup Unit was razing them in concurrence with the attack of the group of Marjeeyoun's martyrs.
At 12:00 a.m., the fighters foiled a Zionist force's progress towards Shakra Town. The fighters clashed with the force in the area called an-Nakaa Pond, making the defeated enemy retreat from the place."


Islamic Resistance Ambushes Zionist Patrol En Route to Ramieh, January 9, 1995

On Monday, January 9, 1995, exactly at 7:20 a.m., Commander Abu Hussein al-Asmar's group perfectly ambushed a Zionist patrol en route to Ramieh, one kilometer away from the occupied Palestinian lands.
Once the twenty infantrymen, followed by a Merkava tank, a mine-sweeper, and two troop carriers, reached the required spot, the fighters bombed it with several explosive bombs.

As a result, the tank was demolished and set afire, and each of its crewmen got killed or injured. The other vehicles were damaged, too.
With a barrage of firearms and artillery, the fighters struck the Zionist patrol; thus, each of the patrollers was killed or wounded."
The Resistance's statement has added, "During that time, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit was razing the enemy sites in Mount Hameed, Blat, Ramieh, Rchaf, and Beit Lif. Since these sites' fire sources were ceased, they could not offer any backup to the patrol targeted.

Earlier at 6:40 a.m., the Resistance struck Rchaf Site, whereby the fighters used firearms and artillery and destroyed a number of the site mounds and fortifications. Also, they killed a garrison soldier and injured another.
After the series of the successful operations which the Islamic Resistance performed in the occupied region, a Zionist-Lahd force tried to progress towards Yater Town at 12:35 p.m. on the same day; therefore, the Resistance artillerists clashed with it.
In fact, the force was left with no choice but to retreat since nine of its soldiers suffered injury or death. As the artillerists foiled the force's attempt, some Zionist helicopters interfered and evacuated the casualties from the confrontation zone.

Upon the statement of the enemy's media, some news agencies have reported that a militiaman from occupied Yaroun Town was killed when the Resistance bombarded Mount Hameed, as well as Rchaf Site and its surroundings. The sources have added that an "Israeli" soldier was injured in the blast of an "Israeli" patrol.
Another source of news in the occupied region has mentioned that a militiaman, Ra'ouf Zeineddine, was wounded in the Islamic Resistance's operation against Kfarhouna Sector. The militiaman was hospitalized in Marjeeyoun Hospital afterwards.


Fire Backup Unit Attacks Tallousseh Site, January 10, 1995

On Tuesday, January 10, 1995, at 2:20 p.m., the Islamic Resistance monitored Zionist troops marshaled at Tallouseh Site. At once, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit targeted it, causing it direct losses.


Islamic Resistance Ambushes Counter Patrol on Mrouj ar-Rihan-Sojod Route, January 11, 1995

Sustaining the operation series of the blessed month of Shaaban, the Islamic-Resistance group of martyr Mustapha Haidar perfectly ambushed a counter patrol on Mrouj-ar-Rihan Route on Wednesday, January 11, 1995, at 3:45 p.m.
As soon as the patrol, which consisted of two half-tracks, a Reo truck, and ten infantrymen, reached the ambush spot, the fighters struck it with a barrage of their firearms and artillery, destroying the three vehicles and causing direct casualties among the patrollers.


Resistance Bombards Barracks of al-Aychieh, ar-Rihan, Ambushes Lahd Militiamen, January 16, 1995

On Monday, January 16, 1995, at 10:30 a.m., the Islamic Resistance monitored two Zionist-Lahd forces marshaled at al-Aychieh and ar-Rihan barracks. Immediately, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit bombarded them with concentrated fire, causing them casualties.
Reiterating that it shall keep hunting the agents down, the Islamic Resistance blasted a Mercedes car on Saydoun-Hidab Route on Monday, January 16, 1995, at 1:30 p.m. The explosion destroyed the car, burned it, and killed or wounded each of the Lahd militiamen on it.


Islamic-Resistance Heroes Confront Enemy Patrol in Wadi Slouki, January 18, 1995

The Islamic Resistance adheres to the path of jihad and resistance, and it is loyal to the blood of the martyrs and the oppressed people.
Hereupon, the Islamic Resistance has continued to strike the Zionist-Lahd forces centered in the occupied region. On Wednesday night, January 18, 1995, an Islamic-Resistance group heroically confronted an enemy patrol in the surroundings of Wadi Slouki (Literally: "Slouki Valley").
The enemy soldiers suffered many casualties.
On the other hand, an Islamic-Resistance fighter, Deeb Muhammad Bahjah, joined the martyrs and the veracious people in the Supreme Being's Heavenly Firmaments.


Islamic Resistance Attacks Sites of ad-Dabsheh, Toumet Niha, Kfarhouna, January 19, 1995

Since the Zionists continued to assail the villages facing the occupied borderline and targeted the civilians' houses, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit struck Zionist troops marshaled at ad-Dabsheh Site on Thursday, January 19, 1995, at 8:30 a.m.
The troops had been preparing for more aggressions.
Likewise, the Fire Backup Unit bombarded the site, causing it direct casualties and ceasing its fire sources.
In reaction to the enemy's aggressions against the towns of Nabatiyeh, martyr Deeb Muhammad Bahjah's group, corresponding to the Islamic-Resistance Sniping Unit, gunned a Zionist soldier down at ad-Dabsheh Site on Thursday, January 19, 1995, at 2:35 p.m.

Likewise, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit monitored Zionist troops marshaled at Toumet Niha Site and Kfarhouna Site; thus, the Resistance artillerists struck these gatherings with rocket shells and machine guns, hitting them immediately. Both sites could be seen afire.
The Islamic-Resistance fighters performed more heroic operations, during which some Resistance fighters were martyred.

The Islamic Resistance has issued this statement concerning the fighters' violent confrontations with the occupation forces:
"The Islamic-Resistance fighters have always consolidated with the Palestinian self-sacrifice martyrs, for the Lebanese and the Palestinian fighters have a common cause and a common jihad path. Together, they maintain the Ummah's rights and dignity and liberate its land."

Islamic Resistance Heroically Confronts Zionist Patrol, January 25, 1995

Completely ready to offer sacrifices, the Islamic-Resistance fighters have again proved their ability to strike unpredictable enemy sites.
On Wednesday, January 25, 1995, at 8:30 a.m., the group of martyr Anwar Muhammad Atiyeh Sukkar and martyr Salah Abdul Hameed Shaker, the heroes of the self-sacrifice "Operation Netanya" in occupied Palestine, heroically confronted an "Israeli" infantry of 15 patrollers at Beit Lif-Ramieh-al-Kawzah Route, on the west side of the borders with occupied Palestine.

Using firearms and artillery, the fighters violently clashed with the infantrymen. The officer in charge of the patrol was shot dead at once, and each of the other patrollers suffered death or injury.
In fact, the Resistance heroes acted chivalrously in spite of the fierce confrontation. Three Islamic-Resistance heroes were martyred, joining the Heavenly Firmaments: fighter Yusuf Ali Fakih, fighter Moussa Nimr Hamdan, and fighter Nedal Abbass al-Haj Hussein.

In the meantime, the Islamic-Resistance Fire Backup Unit opened concentrated fire on the troops marshaled in Blat, Baseel, Hameed, and Beit Lif in order to prevent them from providing any backup to the targeted patrol. As a result, several mounds of these sites were destroyed, and ambulances could be seen rushing there to evacuate the casualties.
As the enemy brought reinforcements to the confrontation scene, the Zionist helicopters interfered and began combing the confrontation zone; thus, the land anti-aircraft of the Islamic Resistance encountered the helicopters, forcing them to retreat from the place.

Also at 2:20 p.m. on the same day, the Islamic Resistance monitored a Zionist troops marshaled at the reconstructed Tallousseh Site; at once, martyr Deeb Muhammad Bahja's group, relative to the Fire Backup Unit, targeted the gathering, directly hitting the vehicles and site fortifications.

Islamic Resistance Blasts Enemy Patrol, January 30, 1995

Sustaining its resistant jihad path to free the land from the desecration of the occupation and the Lahd agents, the Islamic-Resistance group of the martyred captive Haitham Dabajah blasted an enemy patrol that was en route to Beit Yahoun Crossing Point on Monday, January 30, 1995, at 9:25 a.m. As a result, the patrollers suffered losses.


Resistance Blasts Zionist Patrol En Route To Arnoun, January 31, 1995

Sustaining jihad against the enemy forces and agents, the Islamic-Resistance group of martyr Ali Saad bombed an explosive while an "Israeli" patrol was en route to Arnoun on Tuesday, January 31, 1995, at 12:00 p.m. Thus, each of the patrollers got killed or wounded.
Constantly aware and ready to monitor and protect the liberated regions facing the occupied region, an Islamic-Resistance group discovered eight explosive bombs at the curb leading to Yater Town on the same day, at 12:45 p.m.
Noticing that the bombs were connected together and ready to explode, the fighters knew they were placed this way so as to attract them.

Therefore, the fighters monitored a Zionist group in an area which overlooked the implanted explosives... While the fighters were confronting this group, it bombed the eight explosives...
Meanwhile, the Zionists were shelling the operation zone and dropping gas grenades, too. Still, at 2:45, the Zionists concentrated the shelling even more in order to provide cover for the evacuation of the Zionist group that the fighters had attacked.

In fact, the fighters caused the enemy several casualties; yet, two Islamic-Resistance fighters, Abdul Aziz Kamel Kourani and Nezar Hussein Sleem, were martyred during this honorable confrontation. The martyrs joined Imam al-Hussein (Pbuh) and the martyrs in the Supreme Being's Heaven.

*"The Day of the Wounded" is a day on which the Islamic Resistance pays tribute to its wounded fighters.
