Shin Bet, to demolish houses of Fogel's murderers

Yossi Peled resigns, prior to elections

MK Yossi Peled, who serves as minister without a portfolio, said Tuesday that he intends to resign from political life in the coming weeks. Peled will be appointed next July as the president of pipeline company Eilat Ashkelon, which is of common ownership with the Government of "Israel", and until then he is expected to submit his resignation to the speaker of the Knesset, Rufi Rivlin.
Peled, commander of the northern region during the years 1986-2001, joined the Likud in 2006, with other security officials who joined the movement of Benjamin Netanyahu in that period, such as the former Chief of Staff and current Minister, Moshe (Bogie)Ya'alon. In the early elections held in the Likud in 2008, Peled ranked 15 in the list of the party for the Knesset, and began working as a member of the Knesset's 18 after the 2009 elections.
