More than 80% of the Lebanese people despite their differences believe that the Islamic Resistance is trustworthy and has capabilities that can deter any "Israeli" aggression.

Beirut Center for Research and Information conducted an opinion poll -that included the different Lebanese factions, religions, sects, ages, genders, and regions- on the repercussions of the last speech of His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The poll, which was conducted between the 19th and 22nd of February 2010 and included 800 pollsters aimed at reflecting the opinion of the Lebanese when it comes to the balance of powers in the country.

The Speech of His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah came in light of major transformations which paved the way for a new phase in the conflict with the enemy, where "Israel" has lost many power elements and the resistance in its turn gained new elements of power.

Such transformation took place especially after "Israel's" failure in the Second Lebanon War 2006 and the war on Gaza in 2008-2009 where "Israel" lost Western and International support and sympathy.

"Israeli" officials also faced international and legal prosecutions post the
UN Goldstone report which affected "Israel's" image worldwide.

Meanwhile, the power buildup of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine was on the rise, and for the first time in history, Syria showed an unprecedented stance in the face of "Israeli" threats and warned that any new "Israeli" aggression on Lebanon will lead to a full-scale regional war.

The poll revealed Hizbullah has succeeded in showing the credibility of the resistance, where both the Lebanese and "Israelis" believe its trustworthy, while on the other hand; "Israel" lost its efficiency and lost effect on the vast majority of the Lebanese.

The poll also demonstrated a noticeable change on the conscience of the Lebanese whether on the political level or on the strategic one concerning the conflict with "Israel".

Last but not least, the Lebanese in the country's ability of confrontation and steadfastness unlike the prevailing idea earlier which said that "Lebanon's strength lies in its weakness."
