Sayyed Nasrallah: Bets on Syria’s Collapse Futile, Palestine Land Day to Revive Rights, Return
The Secretary General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that all conflicts in our nation are in favor of the Zionist entity.
During the inauguration of Sayyeda Zainab(P.B.U.H) compound in the Southern Suburb of Beirut, Sayyed Nasrallah unveiled some of the circumstances of constructing this compound, also discussed the particularity of Palestinian Land Day, as well as the situation in Syria, Bahrain and Lebanon.
Sayyeda Zeinab Complex: A Message of Steadfast, Victory
"Being located in Harit Hreik, deep in the region previously so-called as "the security zone", this land was severely bombed and destroyed during July 2006 war by "Israel"," His Eminence explained.
He further stated that ""Israel" heavily shelled this area in the early days of the July 2006 out of its belief that Hizbullah targets and centers are located 0here, which is not true."
"The Zionist entity aimed at making the civilian residents of the area pay the price for their support for Hizbullah and the resistance," Sayyed Nasrallah clarified, pointing out that " the shelling and destruction had political, morale, and psychological goals which were expected to last for years."
The Secretary General of Hizbullah emphasized that "the name of this compound is derived from the perseverance, hope, and defiance of Sayyeda Zainab."
"This compound differs from any other one in Lebanon in that it was erected as a sign of worship to God after the victory of the July 2006 war," His Eminence asserted noting that "they sought to destroy us and erase our memory during the war; however, this compound is a response to the "Israeli" mission."
"The enemy knows and we know that we have won. The divine moralities recommend that we highlight God's grace and thank him for the victory," he declared.
Palestinian Cause Will Remain Alive
Moving to the Land Day anniversary, His Eminence viewed that "this occasion is an expression of the nation's commitment to the Palestinian cause, to the land, and to the sanctities."
Sayyed Nasrallah further responded to the question "what does the enemy want from the Palestinians and our nation?" by saying:
"The occupants and the conspirators wanted Palestine to be forgotten and to be considered as history," Sayyed Nasrallah mentioned, stating that "they do not want Palestine to remain an international priority."
He also explained that "They want us to forget Palestine and force its people to despair and resign to the fact that their land has been lost."
"The resistance, the blood of the martyrs, and the sufferings of prisoners inside the "Israeli" jails have kept the cause alive until today despite all attempts and hundreds of billions of dollars that were spent to fail this cause," His Eminence reiterated.
Sayyed Nasrallah praised the "Palestinians who voiced their determination to regain their land," highlighting that "the Zionist entity is mocking the Arab leaders and their summit when announcing a tendency towards confiscating new land from the West bank."
"The Arab Nation is capable of liberating Palestine and can do it very simply," His Eminence stressed adding that "We do neither need to buy weapons nor to possess nuclear weapons; we can simply triumph over "Israel"."
Recalling the resistance's victories in Lebanon and Gaza, he further denounced "the Arab leaders, who are searching for other priorities and other causes."
"These rulers will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment for what they did to help liberate Palestine," Sayyed Nasrallah added.
Dialogue the Only Solution for Syria
On the Syrian crisis, the Secretary General of Hizbullah viewed that "it is clear that this crisis enjoys regional and international interest as three summits were held in recent days."
"This is normal because the Syrian developments will have a major and decisive impact on the region," he said.
"Foreign military intervention, which is a great danger for the whole region, is no longer possible," he explained ruling out the "option of sending Arab forces to Damascus, which is also no more viable."
Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah considered that "the option to arm the Syrian opposition is also not likely, except for some Arab countries that insist on arming the opposition."
"An armed Syrian opposition, that is able of killing an office here or killing an officer there, isn't capable of toppling the Syrian regime," he confirmed.
"Betting on military acts to topple the regime is a failing bet," His Eminence affirmed noting that "what is required in Syria is a political solution."
He further highlighted that "some people have previously suggested a political solution based on toppling the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but all the international and Arab countries have abandoned this choice after developments on the ground."
"The world has concluded that a political solution is necessary in Syria. We have been demanding this from day-one," Sayyed Nasrallah mentioned.
In parallel, His Eminence went on to say that "the political solution is based on two things: dialogue between the regime and the opposition, and serious reforms."
"Helping Syria requires stopping media incitement and trying to convince parties to engage in dialogue," he reiterated noting that "any solution other than this will not serve Syria."
"It will only serve "Israel", the US, and all who seek to fragment the region," Sayyed Nasrallah warned.
Peaceful Bahrainis Will Triumph Eventually
Sayyed Nasrallah tackled the Bahraini issue, noting that it is not normal that it does not draw the attention of the Arab Ummah [nation] especially as this real catastrophe is not tackled in the Arab summit.
"The people of Bahrain insist to adhere to being peaceful, but they are being killed by security forces and the Peninsula army's lethal gases," he went on to say, highlighting that "every day there are people being killed in Bahrain with lethal gases that are not only being thrown at protesters but also at houses to kill families."
His Eminence pointed out that even though the protesters are unarmed and do not want to destroy their country, their issue remains to be blacked out, as it is forbidden to even admit they are living a crisis in light of the crackdown they face. But he assured that "the negligence of Arabs will not affect Bahraini people's determination, who have chosen the right way to fight for their rights and will triumph God willing."
Keen on Lebanon's National Interests
On the internal Lebanese front, Sayyed Nasrallah called on the government to address people's livelihood issues such as electricity and health, "because it is its responsibility, not because of fear of being toppled."
He also added that "in Lebanon, only political decisions can overthrow cabinets, not wheel protests."
"A government is formed through politics. Do not believe those who say that street action has toppled governments despite their failure," he stressed welcoming "weapons if they bring electricity."
"We have continuously called on this government to be more serious in its approach," His Eminence acknowledged, stating that "Hizbullah is keen to refrain from criticizing this cabinet, as the national interest requires us to preserve it."
Addressing those who are still betting on the end of the Syrian developments, Sayyed Nasrallah advised them to reconsider their assessment.
"We do not advocate the theory that creating unrest in Lebanon will serve Syria," His Eminence said.
The Secretary General of Hizbullah concluded that "the permanent government is responsible for the people's livelihood and it will be held accountable for this before God during the Day of Judgment."
