SINGAPORE: Three months after a UN-brokered cessation of hostilities ended the "Israeli" war on Lebanon, cluster bombs and other unexploded munitions continue to pose a great challenge, the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) said Wednesday. "This is the biggest challenge we`re facing now," LRC president Sami al-Dahdahsaid on the sidelines of a regional Red Cross conference. Since hostilities ended on August 14, at least 23 people have been killed and another 136 wounded by cluster munitions. "Rescue work continues up to now because of all the ordnance that was left, and continues killing and injuring people every day," Dahdah said.
