TYRE: A Palestinian man was seriously wounded on Wednesday by a cluster bomb dropped by "Israeli" forces during the summer 2006 war, police said. Kamaleddine Mohammad, 44, was gathering wood near the Rashidiyeh Palestinian refugee camp outside Tyre when he stepped on the bomb, a police report said. Mohammad has been hospitalized with severe wounds to his head and legs. Another Palestinian refugee was killed Tuesday in the same area while attempting to extract scrap metal from an unexploded "Israeli" bomb, police said. "Israel" dropped more than 1 million cluster bomblets on Lebanon during the recent conflict, some 40 percent of which failed to detonate on impact, according to the United Nations. Various types of unexploded ordnance have killed at least 27 people and wounded more than 143 since the conflict ended on August 14, 2006.
