"Israeli" comments reflected the amount of accomplishments achieved by Hizbullah through returning detainees and martyrs remains. The majority of "Israeli" commentators admitted that Hizbullah succeeded in achieving several gains on top of which is reinforcing the "extremism camp" vis-à-vis the "moderation camp". "Israel" also acknowledged that threatening the Lebanese citizens through the telephone network was an attempt to undermine the damages inflicted on "Israel" in the wake of Hizbullah's victory in "Operation al-Redwan".

"It's a victory for a small group and it's shining over the whole region what intimidated some Arab countries. We've seen the flags of Hizbullah in Cairo because it imposed its will on "Israel"", "Israeli" expert in Arab Affairs Tsvika Yehezkeli said.

Hizbullah exchanged Wednesday Samir Kintar along with four Hizbullah fighters and bodies of about 200 Arab martyrs with two dead "Israeli" soldiers in the framework of Operation Al-Redwan in reference to Imad Moghnieh's nom de guerre, Hajj Redwan whom "Israel" assassinated in Syria in February 2008.

"Liberating Lebanese detainees was an additional accomplishment for Hizbullah and an additional blow to the moderate camp. "Israel", France and the US are therefore required to continue embracing this camp to prevent it from sinking further," another "Israeli" expert in Arab Affairs Oded Granot said." When "Israel" penetrated the Lebanese mobile network, it was a small attempt to lessen the damages resulting from the swap operation", he added.

Other testimonies confirmed that "Operation al-Redwan" deepened the feeling of defeat inside "Israel" and unveiled a persisting state of popular mistrust with respect to the "Israeli" political and military leadrships.
For his part, "Israeli" military analyst Yoav Limor admitted that "we have lost the war ...and resolution 1701 has become ineffective as Hizbullah continues accumulating power".

"What the families of the two captured soldiers exerted to return them is a continuation of what happened in the war. Back then, northern settlers felt they were abandoned by a government that ignored the personal matters", Dr. Fred Vinitski Sarossy, from the Hebrew University said, adding that "if the families of the two soldiers hadn't been efficient in their endeavor, the soldiers wouldn't have returned."

Moreover, the "Israeli" daily Yediot Ahronot leveled a sharp criticism at the "Israeli" public when it said that "our enemies are seeing a hysterical, lachrymose, corrupt, epicure, consumer, reckless and rootless people that is detached form values and solidarity feeling, that wants everything now and is ready to pay every price without taking into consideration the results of their irresponsible behavior."
