The collapse`s ghost started to hover over the "Israeli" political leaders after it penetrated into their military leadership.
The recent occupation leaders` confessions disclose the deep quagmire in which the occupation state is sinking in, after they throw responsibilities at each other. As the military leaders accuse their political counterparts of hasting the war, their statements reveal the deep crisis they are passing through.
The beginning was with the outgoing army chief of staff Dan Haluts who justified his army`s defeat in Lebanon by affirming to the Winograd probing committee that he did not take the decision of launching a full scale ground operation because of his lack of confidence in the "Israeli" army`s ability to win the ground war against Hezbollah.
The war defense Amir Peretz had always said that the war would not end before achieving its goals and that Hezbollah Secretary General would not forget Peretz`s name, but he recently admitted that the July-war was not to "free" the two captured soldiers but it aimed to confront the mounting threat of Hezbollah, which means that the war was not an instant decision.
The "Israeli" Prime Minister and the political leader of the July-war Ehud Olmert is facing a definite collapse under the swinging of his speeches, that are aiming to lay the responsibility of the failure on the military leadership by saying that the army has misled him.
In a statement dated on 15/8/2006, Olmert said, "The army asked me to give it ten more days then another ten days, and the army chief of staff along with the military intelligence chief said that the war must continue, and the army did not reach any stage where it announced that the goals have been achieved and we may stop."
As for deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres, who said during the July-aggression that the war against Lebanon is a matter of life or death for "Israel", has recently admitted that "Israel" had lost this war.
No matter what the reasons and justifications were, the defeat is absolutely coming over those leaders and their accomplices in the United States who seem to be in charge after President George W. Bush`s talking about hunting Hezbollah in Lebanon.
