July war disgraceful for “Israeli” army

July war was very disgraceful for the “Israeli” army as it had nothing to be proud of. Unlike the customs in all the armies that say medals are distributed to soldiers as a symbol to their heroic actions due to their courage during their battles with the enemy or storming its bastions, “Israeli” army with its officers and soldiers were the exception to this custom in July war. “Israeli” army has decided to distribute 143 medals on its soldiers just because they have taken a part in withdrawing the killed soldiers and wounded from the battle field. The “Israeli” TV Channel commented on this as saying that not even one medal was distributed for storming or occupying any spot for Hizbullah and that what the war distinguished with. It added that the main goal of distributing these medals was only to raise the spirits of the army which had been used to be the victorious during its war with Arabs.
An “Israeli” enemy soldier, who is going to be awarded a medal, said, "I don`t know why they have chosen me, and I don’t know why I get a medal, since saving the wounded was the only thing that we were capable of due to the fact that Hizbullah was the one who is shooting and bombing us."
