Beirut First Investigating Magistrate Abdel-Rahim Hammoud said Wednesday that Lebanese Forces (LF) leader Samir Geagea would be interrogated on Friday, March 16, in connection with kidnapping and other charges for alleged crimes dating back to 1988, a security source told The Daily Star. Earlier this month, Ahmad Taleb, Hussein Tleis, Ahmad Jalloul, Hussein Rmeiti and Hussein Ahmad filed a complaint accusing Geagea of kidnapping and torture. May Khansa is the attorney handling the case. The plaintiffs accused Geagea and the LF of capturing them in 1988, transporting them to the LF headquarters in Karantina and torturing them. They also accused the LF leader of handing members of their group over to "Israel". Those detained in "Israel" were released during a prisoner swap between Hizbullah and "Israel" in 2004, the lawsuit says. Following the Civil War, Geagea and other leaders were granted pardons as part of the Taif Accord.
