The Palestinian child identified as Khaled Jabari watched "Israeli" soldiers arrest his father Fadel on Monday in their hometown of Bakka, in the West Bank city of Al Khalil (Hebron), Reuters reported.

Walking barefoot, Khaled cried out for his father, pleading for the "Israeli" soldiers not to take his father away.

"Israeli" soldiers pulled out the irrigation pipes in a number of Bakka's vine years and vegetable fields, and arrested several Palestinian farmers, including Khaled's father on charges of stealing water from the nearby settlement of Kiryat Arba.

The manager of the Defense of Children International in Al Khalil said that the child thought his father was being taken away, never to return.

The arrests come while Palestinian residents of the area say that they have documents proving that they are registered under the Palestinian Water Authority and that they are paying for the water that they are using to irrigate their fields.

The family said that this is the second time in one month that "Israeli" forces have removed their irrigation pipes, which are very expensive.

"What right do they have to do this? Where can we go? This is our land, our home and nation, this is ours. We live here, we were born here, and we want to die here. Let them do what they want, we cannot do anymore," said Khaled's grandmother.
