Iran Vows Support for Syrian Gov’t, Nation
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hussein Amir-Abdullahian reiterated his country's full support for the Syrian government and people.
"The Islamic Republic [of Iran] stresses its all-out support for the Syrian government and nation", Amir-Abdullahian stated.
Moreover, the Iranian official dismissed recent Turkish newspaper report, which quoted Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmad Davutoglu as saying that "the support of Iran and Russia for Syria has waned", reaffirming his country's full support for Syria.
Furthermore, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs expressed full confidence that the Syrian people would take major steps towards continuing the path of reforms promoted by President Bashar al-Assad, as well as taking a stance against any kind of foreign intervention.
Also, Amir-Abdullahian noted that Iran regards its support for the Syrian people's demands as the most appropriate solution for the current crisis sweeping across the country.
He reaffirmed that his country holds the countries that incite instability and insecurity in Syria, full responsibly for triggering the current crisis.
