Self-Sacrifice Martyr: Ali Hussein Safiedine

Who is he?

Self-Sacrifice Martyr: Ali Hussein Safiedine

Ali Hussein Safiedine grasped his first breath on the 30th of September 1966 in the Southern village of Hallousiyeh. He was the first child to two loving parents who enjoyed strong faith.

The first few years of growing up in the south with his parents and siblings were interrupted by the "Israeli" invasion of Lebanon in 1982, who stole away the peace and happiness Ali and all the other Lebanese citizens had. Soon, the little Ali's favorite toy was a fake wooden rifle in which he would confront the usurping enemy.

It was not long until Ali and his family left to the southern suburbs of Beirut, particularly the Burj al-Barajneh area where they sought a decent life far from occupation and humiliation.

At the time, he continued his academic education in al-Amine school and was intelligent (as described by his teachers). But not so long before the family had to head back to Hallousiyeh. Ali's father got so sick, and quickly departed life leaving behind orphaned kids and a widow.

At the age of 15, Ali started working. Back and forth between the capital Beirut and his village of Hallousiyeh, he worked as a pavior, but still carried on with his education. He was a passionate student; he carried so much love in his heart for his mentor Sheikh Ragheb Harb, who sowed the love of sacrifice in his heart.

In Battlefield:

And in light of the ongoing "Israeli" crimes and aggressions against Lebanon and its people, Ali chose to resist. Soon he became a brave resistance fighter, a mujahid, who recognized very well that resistance is existence, and that his goal is to liberate the land from the occupier.

Then came his decision to execute his operation. On the 13th of April 1984, Ali loaded his car with explosives he had bought with his own money. With a smile, he bid farewell to his family and friends and drove to Deir Qanoun al-Nahr where the target existed. At the arrival of the "Israeli" convoy, Ali ended the mission, killing and injuring several "Israeli" occupiers.

"Think not of those who are slain in God's way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord"

All work as one in their labor to meet God the Exalted.
