Report--Sayyed Nasrallah: All Lebanese Should Protect People, Army,Resistance Equation
Once again, Lebanon takes part in the international occasion of al-Quds (Jerusalem) Day designated on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan of each year, as declared to be by Leader of Islamic Revolution in Iran, His Eminence Imam Rohollah Khomeini. Hizbullah has been familiar with its central ceremonies held on this occasion, during which Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivers a speech to address the Lebanese and the Arab world regarding the Palestinian cause.
This year's International al-Quds Day ceremony was organized in an original location; the southern village of Maroun al-Ras, only meters away from the "Israeli" soldiers.
In this context, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah praised the participants in this international day, referring that the event was chosen to be held in Maroun al-Ras for what this village has of indications for the Lebanese and "Israelis".
"Many of our resistance, people, and army sacrifices turned some Lebanese cities and villages into symbols, and one of those villages is Maroun al-Ras especially regarding what it represented in the July War", His Eminence stated.
"This location also witnessed a heroic position by the youth of Palestine who are insistent on defending their country", Sayyed Nasrallah added, with reference to the Nakba (catastrophe) Day clashes between Palestinian protesters and "Israeli" soldiers on the Lebanese-Palestinian borders.
"We meet here today to commemorate this occasion through which Imam Khomeini and Sayyed Khamenei sought to revive the cause of Palestine", he noted.
"We commemorate this occasion to remind ourselves of the responsibilities in all domains and to confirm that al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestine are part of our religion, culture, civilization, fasting and Jihad", HE said.
Moreover, Hizbullah Secretary General indicated that without al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Palestine in our lives, none of what the nation is doing would be effective.
In his speech, Sayyed Nasrallah referred he would tackle the Palestinian issue and its current merits, Egypt also in relation to Palestine, Libya, Syria and Lebanon.
HE stated that the peoples should be aware of Palestine's current situation, and should call against what al-Quds (Jerusalem) is being subject to of assaults, especially regarding the demolishing of the Islamic and Christian sanctities.
"Few days ago a report was published by al-Quds international association revealing that there are responsibilities that the Arab and Islamic nations should adopt", Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah noted, further adding that the Palestine that the nation believes in is the right of all the Palestinian people.
"Not one person has the right to abandon the soils, waters and oil of Palestine", Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized.
On the level of the state recognition and Palestinian negotiations, His Eminence stated that this is an internal Palestinian affair; however he said "Our true ambition is to attain an independent Palestinian state including all Palestinian territories".
Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed that nations should rush to protect Palestine, as its lands are being subject to Judaization.
Hizbullah Secretary General stressed that everyone should be aware that all problems facing Palestine are resulted by the "Israeli" occupation.
"We should seek a solution for the first reason, which is the occupation, and when the first reason is resolved then the rest of the problems are solved", His Eminence affirmed. He went on to say that of these problems are the illegal settlement activities, confiscation of lands, brutal detention, and other illegal activities practiced by the "Israeli" enemy.
"The occupation of Palestine has forever been the major problem for the Palestinians and the Lebanese", he noted.
Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed that the Palestinian operation in Eilat that shock the "Israeli" entity is an evidence to prove the fragility of the Zionist enemy.
HE further clarified, "As the Lebanese were capable, with the support of their loyal friends, to liberate their land, the Palestinians will also be able, with our support, to free their land".
On another hand, regarding the latest Egyptian stance facing the "Israeli" enemy after killing five soldiers on the Rafah border crossing, Sayyed Nasrallah stated, "If Hosni Mubarak's regime was still in control, then the reaction to what happened would had been different, but in fact the anger would be spilled on the Egyptians over the Eilat operation".
Sayyed Nasrallah praised the Egyptian people's rallies against the "Israeli" enemy, stating, "There is a difference between being able to take out the "Israeli" flag from the "Israeli" embassy in Cairo and between being subject to bullets by the regime".
"The Egyptian stance is regularly changing for the better of the region", HE also clarified.
On the Libyan level, His Eminence referred to Muammar Gaddafi, saying that for sure he has committed many crimes against his country and people.
However, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah indicated, "Gaddafi's crime committed against Lebanon was through kidnapping His Eminence Sayyed Moussa As-Sader and his companions".
"The kidnapping of As-Sader was a service for the US and "Israeli authorities". We all know Sayyed As-Sader's stance against the "Israeli" and US policies", His Eminence affirmed, calling upon the transitional council of Libya's revolution to solve this issue.
Sayyed Nasrallah also added that one of Gaddafi's crimes was to push Libya away from Palestine and its cause, by not allowing any support to it.
In a different context, Hizbullah Secretary General regarded Syria as the neighboring resisting country.
"There have always been pressures against Syria in order to besiege the Palestinians, but Syria refused to be subject to such pressures", HE affirmed, implying Syria's historical role in supporting the Palestinian cause.
"I should remind you about Syria's stance and support to the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance", he said, further noting that great parts of the Iranian support to Lebanon is truely acquired through Syria.
"Lebanon wouldn't have achieved victory in 2000 if it weren't for the Syrian support", His Eminence indicated.
"We all seek to support Syria so it would develop. Every side that claims friendship and fear for Syria and its national unity and stability should take part in seeking solution in Syria, through dialogue", His Eminence referred, reiterating that other means to interfere in Syria would lead to disruption in the region.
"Those who want NATO foreign interference and seek internal incitement, actually seek Syria's collapse", His Eminence reaffirmed.
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that the US and the West seek sanctions in Syria and not reform, adding that developments in Syria will reach the whole region; where each negative development will affect the region, and each positive development will also benefit it.
On the Lebanese level, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah clarified that the Lebanese status on the level of the Palestinian and Arab-"Israeli" conflict has changed.
"Before, people were afraid that any conflict would negatively affect Lebanon because it is the weak spot. I assure everyone now that Lebanon is no longer the weak spot in the region", His Eminence reiterated.
"Before, when "Israel" has a conflict with Palestine or faced any internal problem, it used to pour its rage on Lebanon. After 2000 and 2006 Lebanon has become a trap for "Israel" which it runs away from", Hizbullah Secretary General reconfirmed.
His Eminence indicated that the new situation in Lebanon was imposed by the people, army, and resistance equation.
"In al-Quds Day it is the Lebanese people's duty to protect the national defense equation", he indicated.
On the level of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) and its indictment, Sayyed Nasrallah stated, "I commented on the indictment that was issued, and later there were legal and technical press conferences to discuss and refute the content of the STL indictment".
"I assure that day after day the politicization of the STL is being revealed especially regarding how the STL didn't take into consideration any evidence that accuses "Israel"", Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed.
"In the press conferences, we attempted to explain and clarify and not convince, but we wanted to address the public opinion that we rely on its logic and support to the resistance", Sayyed Nasrallah explained.
With reference to the Lebanese army, His Eminence pointed out that the "Israeli" enemy is now working on preventing any armament of the Lebanese army.
He stressed, "With all due respect to all the government and security apparatuses, the Lebanese army remains to be the most body committed to protecting Lebanon's civil peace".
"I reiterate that it is the Lebanese people's duty to protect the resistance and army, and protect its own unity", he added.
On this level, Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that "each one in this country seeking incitement against the resistance and the army is serving "Israel"".
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah concluded his speech addressing the people of the resistance, stating, "The day will come when you will smell the fragrance of Palestine from inside Palestine; and this is what we look forward to".
"On behalf of all the resistance and martyrs, I tell you and the "Israelis" that this land [Palestine] will return to its people: This is the will of God", His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah affirmed.
"The faithful people today are waiting for the day when they would bring back the land to the people of Palestine. The day will come when we will pray in al-Aqsa Mosque on the International al-Quds Day", Sayyed Hassan noted, with reference to the people of the resistance and support of the Palestinian cause.
Palestine and al-Quds (Jerusalem) truly represent a center that joins all the Arab and Islamic Ummah (nation) together, fighting for the dignity, freedom, and liberty of our land.
