An-Nahar Lebanese daily mentioned that the fingerprints requested by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon's General Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare from Minister Ziad Baroud are almost a thousand fingerprints.

The daily added that Bellemare's office purchased the aforementioned fingerprints after an official permission was granted from Minister of Justice Ibrahim Najjar.

On the other hand, the General Prosecutor's office later delivered a letter to the Interior Minister Baroud, in which the office requested official authentications for the fingerprint photocopies given. Bellemare's request was not met by any response from Interior Minister Baroud.

An-Nahar further pointed out that the same issue occurred concerning the telecommunication lists.
A while ago, Bellemare's office achieved in collecting its requests from the MTC and ALFA mobile phone companies, but later the STL General Prosecutor requested a certificate to prove the validity of the documents from the telecommunication minister.

Telecommunication Minister Charbel Nahhas did not respond to Bellemare's office's request.

In this context, the daily further added that the General Prosecutor's office more likely might have requested official Lebanese authentications, in case of any evidences and proofs being subject to refutation by defense office during the trial.
