The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that Iran does not seek to develop an atomic weapon, and will prove to the world that nuclear weapons do not bring about power.

During a meeting with Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization and its officials as well as a number of nuclear scientists,, Imam Khamenei stated that the Islamic Republic intends to put an end to the supremacy of the world powers, which relies on nukes. He added that the nation by relying on its natural and human talents and capacities is able to crush the power that is based on nuclear weapons.
Sayyed Khamenei: Iran Does Not Seek to Develop Atomic Weapon He also added that terror and pressure adopted by the enemies reveals their weakness, and stated that a few countries that have dominated the world unjustly through scientific monopoly. His Eminence further reiterated that the nuclear power is directly related to national interests and the country's future.
Addressing the scientists, His Eminence said they have given self-esteem to the people of Iran, and encouraged them to continue this important and fundamental work in this field with full seriousness.
These countries, according to Imam Khamenei, call themselves the global community and are fearful that other nations break their scientific monopoly. He underscored that part of their outcry against Iran is caused by this very issue.
Furthermore, Imam Khamenei described the use of science for bullying others as the biggest crime against humanity, stressing that there will be no grounds left for the hegemonic domination by world powers.

Ayatollah Khamenei termed these cries by dictatorial powers as being aimed at hampering the Iranian nation's scientific progress. His Eminence added that certainly the organizations tasked -in these countries- with making and adopting decisions know very well that Iran seeks no nuclear weapons.
Moreover, he reminded that the sanctions have existed since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution even though the nuclear issue is related to the past few years, describing the nuclear issue as a "pretext".

Therefore, Imam Khamenei elaborated "the problem of dominant powers is a nation that has decided to be independent and rejects tyranny, a nation that has unveiled the true nature of the oppressors and has conveyed this message to world nations, a nation that has managed to accomplish this goal and it will continue to do so.
