Head of the Kawluna wal Amal association (Say and Deed), Sheikh Ahmad Qattan assured that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is Politicized and aims at nailing down Lebanon and its people, pointing out that "In case it is not annulled, it will be the reason behind the collapse of Lebanon which serves "Israel's" interests."

Al Qattan, during his visit to the former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud stressed the significance of the Syrian-Saudi initiative and its success, wondering "Why is there a pessimist position from those left of the March 14, particularly Amine Jemayel and Samir Jaejae? Those do not want justice and truth; they rather want the STL to be the sword set against the resistance which represents Lebanon's strength and immunity."

Al Qattan strongly rejected the proposal of MP Boutros Harb, which bans the sale of properties between various religious sects under the pretext of preserving the Christian presence in Lebanon. He also stressed that Lebanon should start exploring its oil riches as soon as possible.
Former President Lahoud also received an Amal movement delegation headed by Sheikh Abdel Nasser Jabri, who denounced the criminal attack on the Coptic Church in Egypt. He said this is one of the schemes of the New US Middle East project for the region.

Jabri called on the Lebanese as well as the people of the region to be aware of eh schemes prepared against them.
Lahoud also received a delegation of the "Arab Union" party headed by the deputy head Bahaa Abdel Khalek, who assured that the process of encompassing the indictment assures the STL is politicized. He also said the tribunal serves the "Israeli"-US scheme, reiterating this scheme aims at sowing strife in the countries of the region.

Among the visitors were Dean of the liberated detainees Samir Kontar and Change and Reform parliamentary Bloc member MP Nimeh Nasrallah.
