Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said Arab states, instead of normalizing ties with the ‘Israeli’ entity, should create a united front to end the regime’s occupation and safeguard Palestinians’ interests.

"I think it's better to have a united [Arab] front to put the interests of the Palestinians [first] to end the [‘Israeli’] occupation," Al-Thani told the online Global Security Forum as cited by Reuters.

He said division was not in the interest of concerted Arab efforts to get the ‘Israelis’ to negotiate with the Palestinians and resolve the decades-long conflict between the sides.

Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed normalization agreements with Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani in a Washington-brokered event hosted by US President Donald Trump at the White House on September 15.
