President of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat hailed the progress made regarding the issue of detainees on the level of signing the implementation of the first level. He also called for continuing the remaining measures to practically release this group of detainees and move, without any delay, to the next phases and groups.

In a statement addressed to the Yemeni people on the occasion of the October 14 revolution 57th anniversary, al-Mashat linked uncovering effective surprises, especially in the context of legitimate defense of the Yemeni land and people, with the requirements of the possible circumstances and changes, and as per the national interest.

Al-Mashat further called for denouncing the aggression forces’ continued seizure of fuel ships, controlling the people’s wealth and impracticality in adjusting resources of oil, gas, and ports.

The head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council pointed to the continued mobilization of al-Qaeda and Daesh [the Arabic acronym for terrorist ‘ISIS/ISIL’ group] members in Marib, and bringing new brigades of foreign mercenaries for clear escalatory aims.

Al-Mashat further renewed major and permanent keenness on just, inclusive, and renewable peace. Additionally, he emphasized openness to all efforts that aim at guaranteeing putting an end to the aggressive war and complete lifting of the blockade against Yemen.
