By Staff, Agencies
For the first time ever an Etihad Airways cargo plane from the United Arab Emirates [UAE] has landed tonight at Ben Gurion airport in the “Israeli” entity after a direct flight from Abu-Dhabi.
The “Israeli” entity and the UAE don’t have diplomatic relations or direct flights. In recent years, the UAE and the "Israeli" entity have been normalizing ties and have engaged in extensive unofficial cooperation based on their joint opposition to Iran’s nuclear program.
The Etihad Airways plane said to be carrying humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian Authority and Gaza – mainly equipment for the coronavirus crisis, is white, without the company logo.
