Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-chief of the Iranian Armed Forces His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei will lead this week’s Friday prayers sermon in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
In a statement on Wednesday, Tehran Friday Prayers Headquarters announced that the prayers sermon will be held at Tehran’s Mosalla, adding, “the Iranian nation will once again demonstrate their unity and magnificence,” on the eve of the Islamic Revolution anniversary.
Reports suggested that Imam Khamenei’s sermon will include important political stances in wake of the US assassination of IRGC Quds Force Commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and the Iranian retaliation to it.
The last time that Imam Khamenei led Friday prayers was some eight years ago.
