Imam Khamenei Slams America’s Crime in Iraq, Says It is Taking Revenge for Defeating Daesh

Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei slammed the United States’ recent crime in Iraq.

“Look at what the US is doing in Iraq and Syria. They’re taking revenge on Hashd al-Sha’bi for defeating Daesh [the Arabic acronym for terrorist ‘ISIS/ISIL’ group], Imam Khamenei said.

His Eminence added: “Since Hashd crippled & destroyed ISIS -which the US had created- they’re taking revenge. The Iranian govt & nation & I strongly condemn the US’s malice."

In response to the tweets below made earlier by US President Donald Trump,

“The US Embassy in Iraq is, & has been for hours, SAFE! Many of our great Warfighters, together with the most lethal military equipment in the world, was immediately rushed to the site. Thank you to the President & Prime Minister of Iraq for their rapid response upon request....

....Iran will be held fully responsible for lives lost, or damage incurred, at any of our facilities. They will pay a very BIG PRICE! This is not a Warning, it is a Threat. Happy New Year!”

Imam Khamenei said:

“That guy has tweeted that we see Iran responsible for the events in Baghdad & we will respond to Iran.

1st: You can’t do anything.

2nd: If you were logical —which you’re not— you’d see that your crimes in Iraq, Afghanistan… have made nations hate you.”

"If the Islamic Republic decides to challenge & fight, it will do so unequivocally. We’re not after wars, but we strongly defend the Iranian nation’s interests, dignity, & glory. If anyone threatens that, we will unhesitatingly confront & strike them."

Imam Khamenei made the remarks as he received the Iranian nurses on the birthday of Hazrat Zeinab, daughter of Imam Ali [AS], the first Imam of Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] Infallible Household which also coincides with Nurses National Day in Iran.
