Senior Advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, Ali Akbar Velayati vowed on Monday that ‘Israel’ will sooner or later receive the response on its crimes in Syria.

In remarks made on Monday, Velayati warned that: “The illegal ‘Israeli’ attacks in the region will not go unanswered. ‘Israel’ will regret its crimes.”

He further stressed that the ‘Israeli’ entity is unable to implement its threats against Iran, and that the statements made by the ‘Israeli’ officials are mere propaganda.

Velayati made clear that in case ‘Israel’ attacked Lebanon, Hezbollah will turn ‘Israel’ into rubble. “We ask the resistance in Syria and Lebanon to confront the American and ‘Israeli’ crimes,” he added.

The top Iranian official’s remarks came as the first response to the Zionist air strikes in Syria Sunday night on what the ‘Israeli’ military claimed are Iranian sites near Damascus, alleging that three “foreign nationals” were killed.

Politically, Velyati noted that Iran does not back any of the Iraqi PM candidates.

“None of the PM candidates in Iraq are backed by Iran and Iran will only support the candidate who has the support of the Iraqi Parliament,” Velayati said in an interview with Russia Today.

As for Lebanon, he said that the protests in the country after appointment of Hassan Diab, as the PM, are led by Saudi Arabia and the ‘Israeli’ regime.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes Diab’s appointment in respect for the choice made by the Lebanese nations,” Velayati stressed.
