Pompeo Blatantly Meddling in Iraq, Lebanon Affairs

The United States once again shows no restraints on its meddling in the internal affairs of other countries in the region.

In yet another blatant interference in both Iraqi and Lebanese domestic affairs, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted,

The Iraqi and Lebanese people want their countries back. They are discovering that the Iranian regime’s top export is corruption, badly disguised as revolution. Iraq and Lebanon deserve to set their own courses free from @khamenei_ir's meddling.

Pompeo’s remarks were made during his meeting with his Saudi counterpart Adel al-Jubeir on Tuesday, to discuss bilateral and regional cooperation.

Iraq and Lebanon have been embroiled in popular protests against the dire state of public services and the squandering of national wealth.
