Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is cutting short his US visit after a rocket fired from Gaza hit north of Tel Aviv, wounding five settlers.

Netanyahu claimed ‘Israel’ would retaliate "with force".

"I have decided, due to the security incidents, to cut short my visit to the United States. I will meet President [Donald] Trump in a few hours and just after that I will return to ‘Israel’ to lead closely the operations," he said in a video released by his office this morning.

The Zionist army confessed that the rocket was fired from Gaza, raising the risk of another escalation between the two sides just ahead of 9 April ‘Israeli’ elections.

Mishmeret, the area where the rocket landed is more than 80km from Gaza and rocket fire from that distance is rare. It comes after mounting tension in recent weeks.

Netanyahu is believed by many analysts to want to avoid another war in Gaza - the fourth since 2008 - with unpredictable results ahead of the elections.

He, however, faces a tough challenge from a centrist political alliance led by former military chief Benny Gantz and he will come under heavy political pressure to react firmly.
