The “Israeli” entity’s so-called Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked proposed on Wednesday a confederation between Gaza, Jordan and parts of the occupied West Bank.

“Our plan is to apply ‘Israeli’ sovereignty on Area C and give the Palestinians living there full citizenship. Areas A and B will be part of a confederation, together with Jordan and Gaza,” Shaked told journalist at a press briefing organized by the “Israel” Project.

The “Israeli” entity currently controls Area C in the occupied West Bank, whereas Area B is under joint Palestinian-“Israeli” control an Area A is under full Palestinian control.

Shaked was effectively referring to her colleague from Habayit Hayehudi party, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, who proposed applying “Israeli” law on the “Israeli”-controlled areas.

“There’s a large Palestinian population in Jordan and the Palestinians already have a state in Gaza. In the distant future, a confederation of these three entities will be the right way forward,” the so-called justice minister added.

Shaked’s proposal came a month after US special envoy to the Middle East Jason Greenblatt told the Times of “Israel” that the long awaited so-called peace plan he has worked on will not entail a confederation model.

The US is expected to reveal the “peace” plan in the coming year, a plan Greenblatt has worked on along with US President Donald Trump’s son in law and adviser, Jared Kushner.

Last week, Shaked called the so-called peace plan a “waste of time” arguing there is too big a “gap between the ‘Israelis’ and Palestinians is much too big to be bridged."

"Although I want peace like anyone else, I'm just more realistic, and I know that in the current future it is impossible," she said, speaking in English.

"But let's wait and see what they (the US) will offer."

Although the Palestinians have previously rejected the “Bennett plan” as he dubbed it, Shaked said that their position may change over time.

“Israeli” settlements in the occupied West Bank are considered illegal under international law as they are built on land the Palestinians see as part of their future state, which has proven to be one of the most difficult barriers to attempted so-called peace processes.

The Palestinians have already vowed to block Trump's “peace” plan and severed ties with his administration after his December decision to move the US embassy in the “Israeli” entity to al-Quds [Jerusalem] and declare the city as the entity’s so-called capital.
