“Israeli” War Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced on Wednesday that he was resigning from the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in protest at a Gaza truce.

Announcing his decision, which takes effect 48 hours after he puts it in writing, Lieberman deemed Tuesday’s Egyptian-mediated deal with the Palestine’s Hamas resistance movement “a capitulation to terror”.

He further called for early general elections in the Zionist entity.

Relatively, “Israeli” analysts weighed high the possibility of Lieberman’s resignation, considering that it would signal a division within the governmental coalition, especially after agreeing on the ceasefire.

According to media reports, the truce threatens Netanyahu’s government’s stability, with analysts considering that the governmental crisis broke out after the 24-hour long fighting between the enemy and the resistance in Gaza.

According to the same sources, after Netanyahu announced that the “Israeli” cabinet unanimously agreed on a ceasefire with Hamas, a statement by Lieberman denied the news, adding that the minister refused it.
