The Islamic Resistance, on Sunday, uncovered “Khaibar-1” missile, where four copies of it were exhibited in “Mleeta”, Museum of Resistance in southern Lebanon.
“Khaibar-1” was one of Hezbollah’s July 2006 surprises.
It was used by the resistance to target the positions of the Zionist enemy and its points in:
- Afula (15 kilometers from Haifa and 52 kilometers from the Lebanese border)
- Hadera (38 km from Haifa and 75 km from the Lebanese border).
This step was one of the surprises announced by Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and the beginning of the "post-Haifa" phase, which came in response to the “Israeli” air force raids targeting civilians in all Lebanese areas.
In 2012, it was used by the Palestinian resistance factions to hit the capital of the Zionist entity, "Tel Aviv".
Characteristics of the rocket:
Diameter: 333 mm
Weight: 916 kg
Length: 7 meters
Maximum range: 75 kilometers
Minimum Range: 44 Km
Driving charge weight: 405 kg
Warhead weight: 180 kg
Weight of explosive material: 90 kg
Speaking at the unveiling event, Hezbollah Executive Council His Eminence Sayyed Hashem Safiyyeddine said that weapons had become indispensible to maintaining peace.
He further assured the crowd that the weapons at the event had been used during the 34-day war. "It is not our habit to portray weapons that we did not use, regardless of their size or range."
"There is no limit to the power we’re aiming to attain to face an enemy that attained the most violent and cruel weapons and targeted children and homes," Safiyyeddine added.
