The Lebanese General Security Service headed by brigadier general Wafik Jizzini, uncovered a spying network including an inspector from the service, working for a European intelligence agency. The network is commissioned with spying on Hizbullah and its mission may as well benefit countries outside Europe.
The Assafir daily published special information in Wednesday`s edition saying that key side in the General Security apparatus suspected inspector M.A.A`s movements at the Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut, and put him under surveillance. The G.S. concerned side discovered that the inspector was trying to recruit some of his colleagues as well as civilians to work for this European intelligence service. It also discovered he had been taking photographs of Hizbullah headquarters in many areas. The G.S. body monitoring the inspector reported their findings to B.G. Jizzini who in turn informed Interior Minister Hasan Sabaa of the critical data. Sabaa gave his instructions to arrest those involved in the network. It turned out that the network had determined for it activity one goal, that is Hizbullah. So members of the net monitored the party`s headquarters and institutions and used GPS technology to determine their global positioning via satellite. Worth mentioning is that the "Israeli" Mossad has been seeking to hide behind names, addresses and names of European intelligence services in order to spy on Hizbullah. It is likely that the Mossad was behind the formation of this network.
