Yemeni Missile Message: "Burkan 1" Hits Saudi Depth
Yemeni Defense Ministry announced Friday launching "Burkan 1" ballistic missile to the Saudi depth, according to Yemeni Sabaa' News Agency. The agency didn't identify the exact point the missile targeted, yet it stressed that it "hit its target accurately."
The Defense Ministry statement, under the signature of "Republic of Yemen Missile Power Unit," noted that launching the missile came in response to the continuous Saudi war on Yemen. It also came due to the "horrible crimes and siege amid international silence and conspiracy against the Yemenis' dignity."
"Burkan 1" is a Scud ballistic missile that was advanced and developed to increase its range to more than 800 kilometers. Its warhead weighs some half ton, with a very explosive destructive power. Its overall weight hits 8 tons.
Aleppo: Moscow-Washington Agreement Completed
The Russians are approaching an agreement with the US on Syria. The most likely possibility is that they agreed on some main element that was the front line between both sides, and the key to war in Syria: Aleppo.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, interviewed by Bloomberg, redefined the obstacle in the way of clarifying agreements with Washington, which "doesn't reject the necessity to separate the so-called moderate opposition on the one hand, and the extremist and terrorist organizations on the other hand. However, the Americans don't know how it would be achieved."
According to Putin, the talks on the Syrian crisis are "very difficult". Fe further valued the US Secretary of State's contribution to surpassing the Moscow-Washington disagreements.
"We are gradually moving in the right direction," Putting said, adding that reaching an agreement would be very soon, "we will present our agreement to the international community."
Third Phase of Darayya Settlement: Hundreds Evacuated from Muadamiya
More than 300 of Syrian Darayya citizens were evacuated to Rif Dimashq after they had previously sought refuge in the nearby Muadamiyat Sham. The transfer came under an agreement between the Syrian government and the armed groups.
In this respect, Rif Dimashq Governor, Alaa Ibrahim, stressed that "evacuating and securing the people in permanent shelters is a major message to negate what is being published by media outlets involved in the Syrian bloodshed upon spreading unreal rumors.
"Local reconciliations are growing bigger in several areas. There will soon be reconciliation in al-Muadamiya and several other cities to be nationally re-embraced," Ibrahim added.
American Restrictions Harm "Israeli" Military Superiority
On this issue, Helmi Musa wrote for as-Safir:
"Israeli" commentators expect a new upcoming clash with the Obama administration regarding the new policy of imposing restrictions on the "Israeli" military exports.
They further consider that Washington started imposing heavy restrictions on the "Israeli" exports, which create doubts about the future sustainability of the "Israeli" military production, eventually affects "Israel's" ability to protect its qualitative superiority. The comments came in contribution to some news published recently by American "Defense News" website.
According to the website, the Obama administration started recently implementing a new policy in which it imposes restrictions on all issues related to using drones for military purposes. Among several issues, Washington seeks obliging its allies to be committed to certain standards in using such drones in "combatting terrorism", among which is not harming civilians, and not selling those drones but to sides that fulfill certain conditions.
For its part, al-Akhbar newspaper's selections discussed several issues, among which is an overview on the BDS movement, and the issue of increasing terrorism in Europe:
BDS: Planned Strategies, Tangible Successes
More than a decade have passed on establishing the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions [BDS] movement to boycott "Israel".
Following the successes it achieved on the international level through exerting huge efforts on institutions in the US, Europe, South Africa, Brazil and elsewhere to divest their shares from "Israeli" or international companies involved in "Israeli" violations against the Palestinian people everywhere, this movement proved being effective part in supporting the Palestinian people's battle to determine its destiny.
The boycott strategy, along the Palestinian history, started as part of the main available popular resistance strategies. Meanwhile, it became framed with international solidarity, the most important strategy to support the Palestinian resistance based on their rights.
Paris Prosecutor: Terrorist Threats Increasing
Paris prosecutor, Francois Moulin, considered that "weakening Daesh in Syria and Iraq is a factor that increases the risk of attacks" in France. He further explained that among the "concerning elements" is the risk of the return of French extremists from Syria, because "sooner or later, we will have to confront the return of many French fighters and their families."
In an interview with French Le Monde Newspaper, Moulin added that based on previous reviews, "there is an increase in the minor girls whose files are very concerning... and they sometimes contribute to successful terrorist projects on the intellectual level."
