The "Israeli" forces deployed Iron Dome anti-rocket batteries in the southern cities of Sderot and Netivot near Ashdod.
Additionally, the pair of anti-rocket batteries were activated over fears of more retaliatory attacks on the "Israeli" regime.
The "Israeli" air force's Active Defense Wing set up the two batteries days after it deployed an Iron Dome battery in Ashdod, which went into action on Friday night and fired an interceptor towards Gaza.
The "Israeli" regimes Air Force struck three targets in northern Gaza early on Saturday.
Earlier though, a rocket was reportedly fired from the Gaza Strip as a retaliatory measure to the continuous "Israeli" attacks on the occupied Palestinian territories.
The deployment of the Iron Dome system comes amidst the wake of the "Israeli" apartheid regime's violence upon Palestinians and the "Israeli" blockade imposed upon al-Aqsa mosque.
Consequently, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas reaffirmed his pledge to protect Christian and Islamic interests at historic sites in the besieged Palestinian territories. He recently spoke with a group of activists.
"Al-Aqsa is ours and the Holy Sepulcher is also ours. They have no right to dirty the mosque with their filthy feet; we won't let them do it. We will do whatever we can to defend Jerusalem [al-Quds]."
