Imam Reza Hosts 12 Thousand Guests Daily for Iftar

Assistant of Sacred Premises and Pilgrims' Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi stated, "12000 fasters will be invited daily to the Razavi holy shrine for serving Iftar."

Mahmoud Mumtaz in a news meeting with media correspondents expounded on the special programs of the holy shrine in the blessed Ramadan month asserting, "It is intended to spread 3000 meters table-cloth each day in the Hidayat courtyard to serve more than 360,000 fasters of Imam Reza's (A) pilgrims."

Iranian English-speaking Press TV, aired a report on the shrine event. According to the report, more than 500 servants do pre-cooking, cooking, and serving affairs each day in 6000 working hours, the Assistant of Sacred Premises and Pilgrims' Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi declared, "Cooking daily as much as 2500 kg. rice, 2000 kg.meat, 20000 soup meals, and 3000 liters boiled water indicates the broad extent of services rendered to the pilgrims."
