Attorney Mohammad al-Wasati stated, "The Bahraini court decided to fee the detained rights activist Zeinab al-Khawaja 100 Dinars in the case of obstructing traffic in front of the Financial Harbor."

Refusal of Zeinab al-Khawaja’s Appeal in Assembly File: Bahrain The Court of First Instance had sentenced her to three months in prison and a bail of 300 Dinars, which she had paid.

Moreover, the Public Prosecution charged al-Khawaja on April 21, 2012 of intentionally sitting on King Faisal's Street near the Financial Harbor in Bahrain which hindered traffic.

On another note, the Court of Appeal refused al-Khawaja's request to look into the assembly file where the judge sentenced her to three months in prison.
"The court did not allow us to give our opening statements neither call witnesses to stand, which is a blatant violation of our right to defense," al-Wasati stated.
