Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs in the caretaker government Adnan Mansour stated, "The dissociation policy that the government adopted is a very wise policy, and time will reveal that it is the best in light of circumstances Lebanon went through."

"We succeeded to avoid the aftershock of the Syrian earthquake," he added.
Asked about the Syrian crisis, Mansour stressed, "We warned of the migrants flow without regulations, and we said that the Syrian crisis will move to Lebanon and neighboring countries. Some of [Lebanon and neighboring countries'] borders are open to smuggle weapons and fighters."

"Whose benefit is it to bring al-Nusra Front and other extremist groups to Lebanon? We reiterated inside and outside the Arab League that a political solution is the only mechanism to get Syria out of its crisis. Dialogue is the solution, and violence sprees must stop," Mansour accentuated.
"Extreme and radical stances will lead our society - rich with historic, religious, cultural, and national heritage - to ruins. The national and social structure in the region clearly faces a tough patch, becoming more complicated from the calls for Jihad," The Lebanese FM stated.

As to the allegations that Hizbullah fights in Syria, Lebanese FM Adnan Mansour said, "It is known that there are villages inside the Syrian lands in which Lebanese carrying Lebanese passports reside in. These villagers had been assaulted and attacked, and Syrian Army forces couldn't help and protect them because of the extremist groups control over some geographic sites."
"These villagers called on their families to protect themselves, and a number of fighters responded to this call without a direct organizational participation of Hizbullah," he added.

"The Syrian Army doesn't need foreign military support, and doesn't depend on foreign fighters in their military operations," Mansour noted.
