Qahwaji to Army Units: Be Ready to Face Dangers
Local Editor
Lebanese Army General Jean Qahwagi urged the army units to intensify operational measures and work day and night with all the available energies and capabilities to maintain the stability of the Lebanese border areas.
During his inspection to army units along the eastern border with Syria, Qahwaji assured that the LA would prevent the country from being dragged into regional conflicts.
"Heated regional conflicts and continuous political and partisan incitement that increase everyone once in a while, coupled with attempts to target the state's prestige and campaigns against the military institution will not affect at all the unity of the institution or its performance," he said.
In parallel, Qahwaji highlighted: "The daily achievements of the Army in terms of resolving security issues, apprehending terrorist mobs and ending organized crime are proof of the Army's firm decision to confront strife and not allow instigators to lure the nation into the fire of regional strife and domestic chaos."
He further called on soldiers to remain on the lookout for any dangers or challenges facing the country.
