Imam Khamenei: Islam Gained An Outstanding Status in Determining World Developments

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that "Islam is no longer in the margins of social and political equations in the world but has gained an outstanding status in determining world developments."
His Eminence made the statement on Monday in an address to the opening ceremony of the World Conference of Muslim Ummah's Ulama (scholars) and Islamic Awakening.

His Eminence added that Islam has presented a new outlook in life, politics, governance, and social developments.
Imam Khamenei began his speech by welcoming the participants at the international conference and prayed that God will turn the event into a step toward the betterment of the world Muslims.
"The issue of Islamic Awakening that you are going to discuss in this conference is the top issue of the Muslim world and Islamic Ummah today," Imam Khamenei said.

"It is a wondrous phenomenon that, if remains healthy and continues, will have the ability to bring about the revival of the Islamic Awakening for the Muslim Ummah and humanity in a not distant future. What is before our eyes today and no attentive and intelligent human being can deny is that Islam has come out of the margins in social and political equations of the world and has entered the center stage of determining world events," he stated.
Imam Khamenei further added that "It has found a high and outstanding status and is offering a new outlook in life, politics, governance, and social developments. This is a significant and meaningful phenomenon at a time when the world has confronted a deep intellectual and theoretical gap following the defeat of communism and liberalism."

This is the first global effect of political and revolutionary developments in North Africa and the Arab region, and heralds greater realities which will come to pass in the future."

Imam Khamenei highlighted that "the Islamic Awakening, whose name the spokespersons of the hegemonic front are even afraid of mentioning, is a reality the signs of which can be seen in almost all over the Muslim world."
"The most outstanding signs of it include the enthusiasm of the public opinion, especially the youth, for the revival of Islam's greatness, their realization of the true nature of the international hegemonic system, and the disclosing of the hideous and oppressive face of governments and centers that have gripped the Islamic and non-Islamic orient in their blood-stained paws and, under the guise of civilization and culture, have made nations' existence a victim of their ruthless and offensive power-seeking."

The Supreme Leader said that the dimensions of the blessed awakening are very extensive and that its accomplishments could ensure hearts about its great and wondrous outcomes in the future.
Elsewhere in his statements, Imam Khamenei underlined that when Islam became victorious in Iran and managed to conquer the US and Zionist stronghold in one of the most sensitive countries of the region, the people of wisdom and discernment realized that by employing fortitude and insight, there will be more victories ahead, and the victories did come.

His Eminence stressed that the precious experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its grand achievements are available for nations that have stood up against world arrogance and tyranny.
