Arslan Calls Al-Assad: Firm in Supporting Syria’s Unity

The head of the Lebanese Democratic Party MP Talal Arslan contacted Tuesday Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
In a phone call, Arslan slammed the "terrorist bombing which targeted the capital of Arab dignity and resistance, Damascus, on Monday."
The Lebanese Leader further offered his condolences for the death of martyrs and wished recovery for the wounded.
During the phone call, Arslan reiterated the Druze's firm position in support of their people in the Mountain of Arabs.
"Druze will always support the unity of Syria, State and institutions," the MP confirmed, pointing out that they have never breached a promise they made to "preserve the land, defend dignity and make all kinds of sacrifices for the benefit of the nation, whether it was in Syria, Lebanon or any other place on Earth."
Earlier, Sheikhdom of Druze community in Syria called on people of the homeland to be aware of all those who attempt to stir sectarianism and resort to mind otherwise in tackling different issues.
In a statement, the Sheikhdom said " Sweida residents are used to coexistence in an atmosphere of fraternity, amity and equality among all society's components."
It further warned of those who seek to agitate sectarianism through heinous acts that offend the whole homeland.
The Sheikhdom called upon members of the Druze sect to be devoted to their history, traditions, beliefs and forefathers' heritage which urge to maintain good neighborhood and bonds with fellow-citizens who live in the homeland.
