MP Tammam Salam [the expected new PM] stated Saturday that "the mission of forming the new the government, after assignment, is not easy."
He further hoped that he would build the internal bridges between Lebanese sides.
In remarks to as-Safir Lebanese daily, Salam highlighted that he doesn't want to make big promises as he preferred to form a loose government than an expanded one.
Moreover, he listed the priorities of his premiership: "completion of the electoral law, conducting elections, preserving civil peace and national reconciliation."
On the ministerial statement and the fate of "the army, people and the resistance" phrase, the new PM reminded that "Baabda Declaration" confirmed taking advantage of the resistance's ability to defend Lebanon.
"We are with the resistance against the occupation without reservation. However, we reject directing any side's weapons to the internal arena," Salam affirmed.
